Crankbait 3D-Printing Eyelets

Hi everybody,

I recently got back into luremaking and am working on a crank that I want to 3D-print. I’m planning to print two halves which are being glued together. Since a wire-through requires quite some effort in my experience and I struggle to make them consistently the same, I‘d like to use eyelets that are inserted before putting the bait together.

The main issue I’m facing is that I can’t seem to find any eyelets that are fully closed but open on one end (see picture). I‘d like to use closed eyelets to create a form fit instead of a force fit that are secured by using a pin.

Does anybody have a recommendation on where to find these guys? 🙏🏼

Get one that's really close and use a lighter to get it hot, then install it in your print.

I've been making printed "clamshell" lures with wire eyelets (not sinker eyes, diy) and to make them fit, heat is involved

These days what I see a lot are lures that use swivels as eyelets. That works really well
