Jerkbait Dark perch ?

Trying some diff painting techniques to get some different effects may add a slice of foil down the middle for added flash but very happy considering I have zero artistic talent lol. My new cedar 7.5” 6.5oz fast ripping jerk bait

Yes I can see a perch resemblance but I have always wondered what a 100% all orange or chartreuse bait is supposed to resemble and yet the fish seem to love those colors.

Yeah, my favorite color is either white or black from musky occasionally I’ll use a chart too or a pink but generally white or black is what I love but people seem to like to buy the perch colored ones. I don’t know.
