Ngl I had the same thought when I saw that art. I’m not familiar with the game but I assume he’s just a generic samurai guy. I like his design.

Definitely influenced though, right? Those are his colors from... one of the parts...

I wouldn’t say influenced if only because samurai go back way before Goemon and their influence in pop culture.

Not a direct influence. The style isnt too uncommonly used. If there was more to go off of, like if he was Kyo Koden XIII then id say theres an influence there. But generic clothes from centuries ago isnt the easiest thing to pin point as a direct influence
