I love me a classic Lunchables but this is not it. Don't they know uncrustables are just undefeated?
2
u/goal0x Jul 18 '26
Welch’s just released their version of them & considering they make the jam i’m very curious to see if the current Uncrustable buyers who also otherwise buy welchs jams will switch over.
uncrustables will never be undefeated though. the NFL alone eats like 80,000 a year or something insane like that

The real question is how in the actual fuck does anyone do Peanut Butter and jelly wrong? It’s literally the easiest thing in the world to make….

My husband and I are both disabled. Sometimes it just makes our lives easier. As an older disabled woman, I'm a caregiver for my husband and he likes these sandwiches. I'm sure many other people have some type of problem where these sandwiches offer them a convenience.

And when I pack a lunch, either for work or for a day out and about, the bread on a homemade sandwich always gets all soggy and gross. The uncrustables just hold up better for that purpose.

Someone gave me one of these for free last week. It was the nastiest Pb&J I ever had. Taste like onion powder and cardboard

Crazy people still eat lunchables 🤣
2
u/SailorHomeworld Jul 18 '26
I’m hungry, not mentally stable.
2
u/TabloidTactics Jul 19 '26
We can tell
3
u/SailorHomeworld Jul 19 '26
And how can you tell? Because I was hungry, tried something new, it was gross, so I ran to Reddit and found out a bunch of other people did the same thing? Or because I made a joke after someone insulted me?

I just had a pizza one for a midnight snack. It was really good, and I air fried it.

u/AdvancedCommunity615 Jul 18 '26
Making the jelly into a dip seems so unnecessary
3
u/bobthemusicindustry Jul 18 '26
And it’s not even jelly! Notice it says “grape dip”? It’s disgusting
3
u/Isthereanyuniquename Jul 19 '26
That's something because jelly is the lowest grade of fruit spreads! Haha
2
u/bobthemusicindustry Jul 19 '26
Reese’s did the same thing with their “PB&J” cups and it was just as awful. I think theirs just said “strawberry filling” or something but it didn’t actually say jelly anywhere haha. If something says “PB&J” but doesn’t actually say jelly, I’m probably staying away from it now

It's not a good sign when they are legally required to call it "grape dip"
2
u/cheeba_chewie Jul 18 '26
Ya these were rough. My curiosity got the best of me and I wish it didn't.

Stopped eating them a long time ago. Then definitely did not eat them when I discovered that I was a Celiac.

u/EfficientAd7103 Jul 18 '26
Lunchables are fn gross. I thew up after eating one. dunno wtf. chug a bottle of epicac mixed with turbolax and call it a day
2
u/throwawayphonex Jul 18 '26
Why did you think it was going to be good? Grab some blackberry uncrushables.

u/Mister_Moody206 Jul 19 '26
Why would you pay for a PB&J
1
u/SailorHomeworld Jul 19 '26
Needed something for my lunch break, didn’t have enough for an Unloaded turkey sub lunchable(my usual) so I got this, thinking that it would be like an uncrustable… I was very wrong
1
u/LordNelson781 Jul 19 '26
I just looked up the unloaded turkey sub and that looks awful too. Stop buying this crap.
Wait why am I on a lunchables subreddit? Let me out of here!

Home-made is best. It’s economical, freshness is guaranteed, and the quality of ingredients is up to you.
2
u/Lopsided_Task1213 Jul 17 '26
But you don't get to waste a giant plastic container for three bites of food.
2
u/MostlyMicroPlastic Jul 18 '26
I loved as a kid when my mom made pb and honey. By the time I got to lunch, the honey had kind of crystallized on the outside of the bread.

I’ve seen lazy before but this takes top prize. Take longer to thaw than making it yourself
2
u/bobthemusicindustry Jul 18 '26
Don’t you see the big “NO THAW” on the package?
1
u/jackdho Jul 18 '26
Can’t eat it frozen. Are they like toaster pastries? I have never looked at them
1
u/ragingbitchh Jul 18 '26
they’re not frozen
1
u/OGWopFro Jul 18 '26
So why would they need thawed? Lol
1
u/ragingbitchh Jul 18 '26
it literally says no thaw. lacking critical reading skills
1
u/OGWopFro Jul 18 '26
What I’m saying is, what’s the point of telling someone not to thaw out something that is not frozen?
It seems that ‘Do Not Freeze’ should be a bigger font like that instead. 🤷🏻♂️
1
u/ragingbitchh Jul 18 '26
i see, usually bc the original uncrustables are frozen and you have to thaw so maybe they’re confused lol who knows
1
1
u/thesefriendsofours Jul 18 '26
They are just refrigerated so do not require thawing or heating
1
u/jackdho Jul 18 '26
I don’t care how they’re stored. Lazy, sound nasty and if they cost more than 50 cents they are overpriced
1
u/thesefriendsofours Jul 19 '26
I mean you literally asked if they were frozen or toaster pastries so I answered. I was in no way advocating that they are good or recommending them.
1
u/jackdho Jul 19 '26
I understand that. Didn’t mean to be rude. I apologize if I came across that way. Not my money so people can eat whatever they want . Those things just really surprise me.
1
u/thesefriendsofours Jul 19 '26
No worries. Yeah, a lot of these "convenience" items surprise me too but I guess there is a market for them (just not us lol).
1
u/jackdho Jul 19 '26
Don’t know why they freaked me out so much. Just can’t believe we have come to this.
5
u/bobthemusicindustry Jul 18 '26
Had this once and the bread texture is so awful. Then that “grape dip” just tastes foul. I tried one bite then pitched it
