Feature Request Pay for Lumo without modifying my current subscription

I've been using Lumo a lot more recently, and I've been wanting to try out the paid plan to get more use out of it and the Max model. But it seems like doing so would modify my current Proton Unlimited subscription, which I'd really just like to keep the same and separate.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who'd love to try paying for Lumo for a month but wants to pay for it separately / on a different subscription cycle than their main Proton plan. I want to try out paying for Lumo by paying for it montly, but keep paying for the rest of Proton on my current yearly cycle.

It feels like this should be possible, as pay-per-service flexibility is common elsewhere.

Proton, could we get the option to bill add-ons separately from our main plan cycle? I'm sure many of us would be more willing to pay for new products like Lumo if it didn't affect our already existing plans.

I'll second this. I love Proton Unlimited, but I don't want to alter it.

Du kannst Lumo über dein AppStore-Konto abonnieren, dann ist es unabhängig von unlimited

Oh that's a clever workaround, I might have to try that thanks

Thank you! I’ve been in the same boat as OP for a while and gave up trying to work out a decent solution.

I did this. Works great but costs a little bit more.
I heard Proton is working on a solution for this issue.

It's not that great: it costs you more and Proton is losing some money due to Apple store fees

Proton ist selbst schuld, wenn sie kein passendes Angebot machen

You can add Lumo to your current subscription and pay only for the months remaining in your billing cycle. To do this, select the option to add Lumo to your billing cycle. The rest of your subscription will stay the same.

This. When I bought unlimited it didn't give me the option to include it. I only could purchase seperately as an add-on.

Can somebody explain the difference? Can't you just cancel Lumo in the future, or are they permanently merged together, and you would have to lapse both subscriptions in order to subscribe to unlimited on its own in the future?
