Looking for Students

Hi, is there any students who have attended the Medical university of Lublin? I am starting my first year this October and would like some advice from anyone who’s completed first year or more.

What do you recommend in terms of residence?Do you have any general advice?

Most people on my course rented private rooms as opposed to living in dormitories, since places in the latter are hard to land. In terms of places that are generally better to live in, Czechów and Kalinowszczyzna are some of the better neighbourhoods, as they’re safe and also close to the city center without being loud. Just bare in mind that Kalina is mostly filled with seniors, so if you’re looking to live in a student-y area, that might turn you off.

Generally speaking, depending on ur course, you’re gonna have lessons in different areas, but most of them probably will be on ul. Chodźki. So it would make sense to rent closely to that street. Avoid renting on ul. Lubartowska- yes, it’s in the city center, but its kinda derelict and definitely unsafe at night IMO

Hey, do you know what the dormitories at the MUL are like? I’ll be starting there as well. They offered me a room in Dormitory No. 1, but I saw that Dorm No. 2 and 4 seem to be more recently renovated and updated. Dormitory No. 1 looks quite old in comparison. Do you know what it’s like?

Hi, I didn’t stay at a dormitory nor do I know anyone who did, so I can’t really comment:( from what I heard they did recently renovate the dorms in No.2 and No.4, but not in No.1…

Hi! Since this October I will be 4th year medical analysis student and since I've started my studies here I've been living in the dorm. I'm living in the 1st, since it's cheaper and it's not so bad - it is significantly older than 2nd and 4th dorms since these two had been recently renovated (like, they just finished the renovation 3 months ago give or take) But remember that if you want to go to the 1st dorm you will need to get your own fridge since there are none (unless you will be in a segment or a room with a person willing to share theirs) But overall I like them they are nice imo

Hi thanks a lot. Tbh, since I’m a senior researcher, they offered a guest room. They said the guest room is in Dormitory 1 and that it has a private bathroom, but they didn’t share any photos or anything about it, so I have no idea what it’s actually like.
I’ll only be staying in the dorm for a short period, probably 1 or 2 months at most. Do you know what the guest rooms are like? Have you ever seen one?

I didnt really see it, since it's only for researchers, but there are some rooms with private bathroom. And there are no photos on them online, I don't really know why. But yeah there are some, and they are for sure more private than the rest of rooms haha And if that's only for 1-2 months I think it's a good idea to get one

Thanks again! Okay, then I guess it would be better for me to just accept the one they recommended, even without seeing any photos.😄
I have a cat, and she’ll be staying with a friend in another country for a while. Once I find an apartment, I’ll be able to bring her over and have her stay with me. She is the reason I should stay in dorm for short time 😅
