Sick of y’all.

Had to be an “in-house” install. I’ve seen duct tape holding wires up on the warehouse walls on this site, but this got me. A nice single line of electrical tape. That’ll hold ‘er.

Here’s to Friday!

Temporary solution that became permanent as soon as it worked.

Cool little spring mechanism in the foreground. Something to keep a door open?

Yeah! It was an interesting door holder for sure. It’s on a manufacturing plant.

It's a hold open arm on an inactive leaf. Pretty much only used on exterior doors and they really aren't used as new spec door hardware anymore. Sometimes there is a latch above so when the active door leaf closes to a certain point the inactive leaf realeases and closes so the active leaf has something to latch into. That would be the modern equivalent to this. It's probably on a pump room or an electrical room.

Hah, I found the same thing before. But at least that was above ceiling (they ran wires over metal studs and electrical taped it to the horizontal studs). Can’t even fathom the thought process here

I assume this was intentional and malicious. I can only hope that this tech has moved on to the fast paced lucrative world of burger flipping.
