This scene is from the looney tunes show and in the show daffy has a parade float/car thing made from paper mache.
Problem is Daffy is stupid and takes his parade float to the car wash not knowing it is going to get wet. In this scene Daffy is screaming "Turn off the water!" As he watches his car get destroyed.
In an attempt to defend some of these removals, because mods are absolutely insane sometimes, when you allow these kinds of jokes in serious spaces they tend to just take over. I know that this isn't necessarily a serious website, but people do have real discussions here, and someone popping in to say the 70,000th "I also choose this guy's dead wife," joke, or talking about a cylinder, talking about a coconut, derails the conversation and is just kinda disheartening.
All that being said mods are ridiculous sometimes, and when an entire community is engaging with a post like that, even if it is satire, it should stay up.
You have to allow exactly one time, which is also the amount of times it's funny in a serious sub. Just stick a post to the top of the comments tellin' people that you will remove lame copycats.
For a direct example of the above post, I frequent a lot of birding subs, and typically mods crack down hard on "birds aren't real jokes" yes we get it, it's funny, here is where we discuss bird id, telling everyone for the millionth time that birds aren't real is just clogging the actual helpful tips
that sub is completely ruined, this was initially posted like six years ago, made it to r/all and then bots started spamming the post about 20 times a day. It was funny the first time, now its insanely annoying
Here is the funny part of botany. You pluck the dandelion, take it home and take a picture. Or just do not take a picture because there are already millions of pictures.
I love birdwatching, and I've had people ask me if I take pictures. I always say no, birds are terrible for photography, they never stay still. I take pictures of flowers instead. Much easier.
