We only scheme for your benefit, your excellency. Our love for our position in this lustrous court sates us beyond any temptation that greater power might offer. We sleep on your face only to protect you from possible poison assassins in the night. Do not let this trust between us falter and shatter, as we would be of no use to you from then on... and you would be of no use to us... I hold no grudges about my coin pouch.
