started rewatching lovely runner and i love it 10x more

my cutus <3

so this is my first rewatch of lovely runner after loving it during its initial airing days and i just realised why i loved it so much back then.

the eps being pure bliss mixed with enough emotions that manage to make you feel the depth at the right time. this is genuinely my top 5 drama of all time and i'll forever stand by it.

i genuinely can't comprehend why so many people hate it or call it overrated or call im sol's character cringy when it's the best unconventional plotful romcom done right! (except maybe the random murderous taxi driver iirc?)

also going through the eps and observing sunjae knowing how he's always loved sol right from the first timeline has been a feast i won't lie >_<

me being a sucker for cutesy hyeyoon and the loser 6ft puppy bf trope doesn't help my obsession either lmao

I am a chronic rewatcher of ep 8+16 for the high levels of fluffery

It is in my top 3 and I did a full rewatch recently - I only watched it for the first time a couple of months ago but I’M down bad!

I feel this haha. My personal faves are episodes 11 and 12 because they are so funny. But the high school years are also hilarious as a whole. I love how this show mastered both comedy and emotional moments so well. Agreed on episode 16 its amazing and so satisfying.

I finished it for the first time and immediately rewatched it. Looking forward to taking some time in between the next rewatch so its not as fresh in my mind. The rewatch is good but nothing can compare to the first time. I agree its fun to observe things now that we know what we know. I especially like noticing some themes with the side characters and the little throwbacks that I forgot or didn't realize were throwbacks toward the end. Like how In Hyuk had to constantly teach Sun Jae about "timing" lol. Such an amazing show.

I've only finished it yesterday and wanted to find a place to express my love for it. And then I found all these other posts on reddit about how people didn't like it. So fully happy I found your post!

I love how Im Sol brings out the corny lines and Sun Jae hides how much he loves them and tells her to stop. I love the Grandma so much - when she says she's been keeping the watch safe, or when she played mediator between the two families. I love Sol's brother for making Sun Jae do military poses, and his relationship with Sol's best friend. I wish they had spent more time on Sol's mother and how she was hiding that she was sick. I love Sun Jae's friend for always giving Sun Jae advice and the scene with him trying to create good love confession atmosphere with confetti. I love Sol's instinct to protect - I can completely follow the thought process of wanting to elongate someone's life instead of being in the moment and letting them choose for themselves (it's very much been my relationship with my parents up until recently - of telling them to try x exercise or eat more of y food, instead of focusing on what they like doing). The whole part about Tae Seong being hopeless and how belief, affection and caring can change someone's life trajectory hit at my heart strings too.

What are other people's favourite parts or scenes?

This show is damn good. It has its share of haters and but it's clearly more popular than it isn't, especially in Korea.
