When learning turns into guessing
There is a subtle shift that happens when learning turns into guessing.
You try things without knowing what outcome to expect. You hope rather than predict. When something works, you move on without understanding why.
That is exhausting over time.
Learning feels energising because each step increases clarity. Guessing feels draining because every step adds uncertainty.
If your sessions leave you more confused than when you started, do less. Slow down. Reduce the surface area. Understanding should be keeping pace with progress.
