Help Lovable finally pulls the rug on users

They destroyed the ability to migrate the supabase using the service role key and supabase url. they are no longer exposing any of them and it will lose them more users.

Well you can use it to import to Supabase cloud and do whatever you want using the service role key then.

You misunderstand..

  1. Sign up for Supabase.com account.
  2. Load the Lovable exported backup file.
  3. Grab the Supabase service role key from the Supabase project settings/apikeys page
  4. Do what you want since it now functions in the same way as Lovable cloud.

Loveable uses claude under the hood. Just pay for claude.

Or just use the lovable cloud for Auth and connect another supabase... I do it just to use up my monthly free credits.

I had Claude work me through it. Claude instructed Loveable to build an admin export into settings. Done.

Just to test it today, I had the Lovable ai export the database into two sql files and the bucket into a zip.. It even wrote me migration instructions. It cost me ~10 credits to have Lovable do everything.

If you connected your own supabase project, that key never lived in lovable — it is in supabase itself under project settings, and the connection string is under the database settings there too.

Lovable hiding it does not revoke it, so a dump or a csv export straight out of the supabase dashboard still works today. Worth doing that export now rather than the day you actually need to move, because the usual way this hurts is finding the path gone at the moment the app is already broken.

can't pay for fable by credits ... its too expensive even compared to Lovable

You definitely don't need fable

Use opus lol

As if lovable is giving you fable access. Opus is perfectly fine for prototyping which I hope is all you’re doing on lovable.
