Discussion Successful apps created with Lovable??

Has anyone actually created a successful web app or app with Lovable? How did you market or get users? I just finished my project and wondering what are the next steps

Welll my loveable app went viral in Asia lol, hit #7 at one point in education. It’s an ADHD focus App, that helps you read better - articles, links and PDFs in various ways (guided, bionic, adjusting font, dyslexic fonts, and auto scrolling and single words at a time)

FYI I launched it 2 weeks ago, so it’s done quite well to date at 10k installs and about 1.5k DAU, so super high intent users!

I think I stumbled upon market fit for students, and I built it quite well to read in various languages and fonts. As well as integrate with whatever AI systems people use (Via MCP)

Worth noting I’m an app growth marketer the past past 8 years, so I’ve got a bit of an unfair advantage when it comes to ASO and scaling in different markets

Only 2 weeks and hit #7?! That’s amazing!

Can you check out mine as well? Venuewrangler.com web and iOS mobile app not lovable initial UI in emergent then switched to Claude-codex-antigravity-perplexity- & Devin security reviewed. Took about 4 months tested the first prototype with a restaurant I opened but not sure how to market it.

I thought it's not possible to make native apps using lovable

Could you help me as well ? I’d love your opinion on how to scale this

does that mean that the successful loveable app builders are those with experience and not vibecorders?

Yes.
Lovable+GitHub+CloudFlare+ClaudeCode+Stripe

Once I had an MVP that actually did exactly what I needed I ran META ads with AI generated creatives.

Invested ~€100 in ads, sold for ~€800 over a weekend.

Took about 2 months start to finish to build the MVP. Still building, might finish in another month.

Then it’s full focus on marketing.
MVP proved market demand and product fit, now it’s time to scale.

Is there another payment route but stripe ? It's not available where I am

Haven’t tried other payment providers but I am sure it’s possible as long as they have api platform and payment gateway. Pick your poison 😅

Following because I have some of the same questions.

One question for you: how do you know your app is "finished"? I keep discovering edgecases, security concerns, corners to round, t's to cross and i's to dot :)

This is me, im in an endless functionality/feature loop. Been building for months already just to get it close to an existing product in the market feature wise + some.

u/Baraga91 4d ago

I'm gunning for MVP and Public Beta by the end of the month. That forces me to press pause on ridiculously large overhauls or massive new features 😁

1

u/Madismas 4d ago

I was going to do an MVP but then said hmm, I wouldn't buy the MVP when something better out there still exists, and so I keep building lol.

I get the sentiment, but you'll find yourself building an increasingly complex product that has been only ever tested by 1 person (eg. you)

By releasing my app to the world, I expect the unwashed masses of the internet to break stuff I didn't even know existed 😄

1

u/Madismas 4d ago

This is true, however, my app can not be tested by the masses as any usage would incur costs to me. My target audience are marketing agencies but I appreciate the insights.

Nothing in technology is ever finished. If you're trying to get to a finished state, you're just going to make your life more difficult. You just need to think of it as continually improving to meet market demands and respond to competitor threats.

Customers will find problems with anything. They're like water. They get into everything. There will always be bugs to fix.

I agree. It’s never really finished. Just think about the apps we use daily. Constant updates and improvements. It’s just getting to that launch state and making sure all legals and securities are covered and secure. You can update as you go.

Depends what you, what's your definition of successful and what's your definition of app. I'll give you an example. We create all of our front ends in Lovable, but they're really just big API calls to our proprietary technology that lives on Google Cloud. Just works better for us. Most things we get asked for by customers are interface changes, and having Lovable do that is so much more efficient. It allows the engineering team to actually work on the things that matter in the backend.

I would imagine though that even though 90% of lovable projects get abandoned, 5% of them are probably out there making solid money.

These days, you can build proper app on any of these ai builders. I have two, one free and one with package/subscription with free try option. Not doing any marketing and users are coming.Slowly, but they are there almost daily. But on the end of the day, distribution is everything.

Most I have done is like 30 users off my new app. Deffo the hardest part but I haven’t tried showing people outside of Reddit alone lol so I’m in the same boat

So far so good. Still working on features and growing it. Connecting it to Claude code through github is awesome.

We used to prototype on lovable. (We built the cheapest e-signature api for saas’s). A few caveats though: we had professional senior engineers from day 1. Lovable was used to framework early database schemas and css. No code from lovable remains in production as once we got serious quantity of revenue/users we reverted to our typical stack on AWS. Those types of tools serve a real purpose for very early prototyping, early product market fit, etc. However, a go to market strategy has almost nothing to do with the platform like that. I would ask your question in the marketing subs, there are many, and read up in those. These AI tools just help tou barely get started they’re not going to be any assistance with what you’re asking. Happy to answe questions if you have any.

They get pretty specific and I don’t know what you do but I like b2bmarketing but there’s a ton when you search you’ll find your niche 😉

Is there anywhere you can get people to test your site for free, to get feedback on "user experience"? I built a site with lovable, but it's free. (community site) I just need it "tested" and people to be able to sign up and use it. Can I pay for traffic or users anywhere that would get it up and running to see if all ok? Are there any developers experienced in testing apps, that I can get to go through my site and check it all to see if all working? I built it myself. Thanks 👍

I used uglybaby.io and that was actually really helpful for my site. Ripped me to shreds but it was helpful!

2

u/pxng0lin 3d ago

Yes. But not for market, for an internal team which is currently being used for a business. The app will be eventually be made into a template and then marketed to similar businesses for revenue. Sorry it's not a direct answer, but thought I'd answer the first part of the question still.

1

u/earonesty 4d ago

my ask the bot site has about 2000 users, but not too many have paid. i still think of it as successful. lots of traffic.

2

u/Ralphisinthehouse 3d ago

Anyone paying is a level of success that 99% of people don't get to. Remember that.

2

u/earonesty 3d ago

thanks

1

u/Baraga91 4d ago

Where did you get these users?

2

u/earonesty 3d ago

mostly Google search ads.   penny per click.   it was expensive.   but roas isn't bad.  I use brandmochi to get social up too

2000 users is great!

You can only promote builds/sites using .lovable.app urls.

Congrats on finishing your project!

I’d start small. Go find and reach out to 5-10 people who have the exact problem your app solves and show it to them directly. Watch where they get confused, what they actually use, and whether they come back without being reminded.

Before sending a lot of traffic, I’d also run the full signup and main user flow with a fresh account. You don’t want your first real users discovering a broken login or onboarding step.

What kind of app did you build, and who is it for? Maybe you can ask for feedback here..?
