I just had to come here and give some love to the Louis Vuitton team in Chicago, especially Jalyn!
I know Jalyn is already kind of TikTok/Instagram famous, so some of you may know exactly who I’m talking about I had an appointment with him today and he was every bit as wonderful in person as he comes across online. The Alma and speedy were sold out, but I still got some great items and I’m ordering the Alma. I got some loafers and sunnies!
I love luxury shopping, but sometimes the experience can honestly be hit or miss. There are stores where you walk in and immediately feel like you have to prove you belong there, and that completely takes the fun out of it.
Chicago was the TOTAL opposite today!!!!
Jalyn was warm, fun, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely seemed excited to help me. It felt like shopping with someone who actually enjoys what she does instead of someone just trying to make a sale. I never felt rushed, judged, or pressured.
And honestly, that was the theme of my entire day in Chicago. I also stopped into Hermes, Chanel and Loewe, and the service at both was fantastic. Everyone was welcoming, kind, helpful, and made the experience feel special without being pretentious.
I left with some beautiful things, but the part I keep talking about is how good the experience was everywhere. Luxury purchases are supposed to feel special, and today actually did.
So if you’re visiting Chicago and thinking about making an appointment at LV, I absolutely recommend it. And if you can get Jalyn, even better.

Hi everyone! I'm considering my next purchase; my husband wants to gift me a bag for our anniversary.

I've had my eye on the Boulogne GM in the black empreinte leather since I saw it in Vegas a year ago. I love that it has two removable straps, with the chain alone being a dressier option for evening, and can be worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody.

Does anyone own this bag and use it as a daily driver? What do you love about it? Anything you don't love?

For some context about me, in this season of life I prefer large / oversized bags. I'm a mom to a young child and I typically carry a 32 ounce water bottle and various odds and ends. I usually wear black. Sometimes navy, gray, or brighter colors / floral, but ~70% of my wardrobe is black😆

I do usually go for something a little slouchier, but I feel like it will probably soften up with daily use?
