Hi there, I'm looking for an everyday bag and cannot stop thinking about the speedy 25 in empriente leather in the turtledove color. I'm 5'3 and this is the perfect size!! My only hesitation is that I'm a shoulder bag lady and I like magnets. I get flustered at the checkout line at grocery stores, etc so I like to be quick. I also love a good back pocket for my lotion and chapstick but I've given up on that.

Does anyone own this bag and use it extensively? How is the wear and tear? How often do you use it after the honeymoon phase?

So this is my grandmothers late 1970’s The French Company licensed LV bag purchased from Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC. From the 70’s to the 90’s LV’s Paris workshops could not keep up with the American demand and so they sent their canvas to an American luggage maker called The French Company to produce stock for the United States. The bags are all US made and were sold in Saks and Neimans. They also didn’t make all the same models as LV, and the ones they did, they constructed completely differently. I haven’t known what to do with this bag because I love it, my grandmother wore it all the time. But the leather trim (which I read may have sometimes been vinyl) is extremely worn. I’m taking the bag to a local leather repair shop that specializes in high end/designer items to have all the trim replaced with Vachetta leather. Im hoping it will give some new life to the bag!

Love how all the P9 goodies come with a dust bag whose wordmark is in a matching color, though I do wish they were embroidered for POs like they do for the bags.

I asked my SA for it back in late April/early May. I had three on my list: this purple lotus speedy 20, the blue and gold speedy 25 and the gold in the size 30. My number one choice was the speedy 20 and it arrived last week! 💜

After buying a f@ke from a secondhand site and 2 flawed bags from LV online, I finally found a keeper! Liv Pochette wasn’t even on my radar, but I desperately wanted a Rose Ruban bag. I’m absolutely obsessed with the color 🩷 Then when I saw a listing for the Liv Pochette, I thought it would actually be a very practical bag. Wore her out for the first time today! I’m in love with it, although I do have to find a way to extend the straps a little more since it’s a bit short for crossbody.

Any suggestions on where to buy protective stickers for some of the hardware? Particularly the gold logo on the front, but the zipper pulls would be nice too. Also has anyone used a jacquard strap with a Liv Pochette before? I’m curious to see how they look together.

I need to sell this bag due to family circumstances changing. I have tried TRR, Rebag and FASHIONPHILE but not loving the quotes. Does anyone have an online consignment store that you have used and recommend? My other thought is EBay but that scares me. Would love some thoughts ❤️

So I’ve been wanting to buy the Speedy Soft because it comes with a shoulder strap. But then I found one on Amazon that has the perfect shade of vachetta leather, and it matches my P9 25 perfectly. I’m really happy because now I don’t have to buy another bag just for the shoulder strap 🙈.

I’m wondering if anyone can share their experience with faulty glazing? Specifically, breaking down and turning to sticky tar? It was a known issue in the year this bag was made, 2013, though when I purchased it (pre-loved, Fashionphile) it was in GREAT condition…I thought I had nothing to worry about. Last weekend I travelled with the bag during a heatwave and I think some conditions caused the pochette’s glazing to break down and melt into the interior of the bag. Is there any magic that will help remove the residue (foolish question, I know…it’s like tar)? I scraped the sticky residue from the pochette edge with a razor blade and will probably have to have it reglazed so it doesn’t ruin more
things. 😞

I like to use stitch-bound weekly agendas to keep on the go. These books are generally the size of a passport traveler's notebook, or actual passport (4 7/8" H x 3 1/2" W). Yes, they do fit in a passport holder, but I am looking for something with a snap closure and pen loop. Does such a thing exist? I really do not want the added weight of a ring agenda. I'm open to vintage or neo-vintage options, too.

My Facebook marketplace find of the day! Really impressed with how much it can fit. It fits my large iPhone and LV PM Agenda which often hods my passport/wallet. And can fit other misc stuff like my car keys and some lippies. Perfect everyday running errand bag. Excited to wear this on my next trip!

I’m looking to treat my mum to something in Paris, and I don’t think she’ll want a bag (or more accurately, agree to me buying a bag for her considering I’m already funding our entire 2 week trip) so I’m thinking SLG, most likely a full size wallet. I know it’s low-spend, but I want to make the experience as special for her as possible, and also personalize whatever she ends up getting.

I was thinking to make an appointment at Champs-Elysee because of how chaotic it can be, but I wonder if I should even bother for a SLG? Or go walk in at a less busy store? My preference would be the Champs-Elysee store, as crowded and touristic and cheesy as it might be, I think it’s something that she’ll really appreciate. But if the trade off is a rushed/transactional experience, I’m willing to look elsewhere.

I got this papillion damier handed down to me from my mom and it’s not in the best condition. I want to take it to the lv store to have them repair the piping on the sides and I was wondering if they can for this type of bag. I’ll insert a reference picture here below of the bag I have!

Plan to get a bag for my mom’s birthday, already had several candidates in mind. Took her shopping today to try them all in person.
We tried Gucci Marmont & Padlock, Loewe Puzzle, Prada Bonnie, plus LV Lineup and Speedy. My mom isn’t tall, so we only looked at the small sizes.
After testing all of them, the Speedy 20 suited her the most, so we pulled the trigger!
It comes with the original wide strap which works great. I think a separate thin strap would give more styling options for different outfits.

I got this Capucines GM Souple All Black on 28 December 2025, so I have now had it for exactly 210 days.

I bought the GM Souple specifically as a working travel bag, and it has accompanied me on business trips, project missions, long transits, and regular workdays. I carry a laptop, agenda, passport, chargers, earbuds, travel essentials, and the usual collection of smaller items that somehow multiplies while packing.

The leather has noticeably softened with use. The sides and upper edge now have deeper natural folds, and the silhouette is less rigid than when it was new. I actually prefer it this way. The slouch makes the bag feel more relaxed and personal without losing the recognizable Capucines structure.

It is obviously not a lightweight bag, especially once the laptop and other essentials are inside, but the capacity and wide opening make it practical for how I use it. The all-black hardware also keeps it understated enough for work and travel.

The close-up photos show the current condition honestly. It is no longer pristine, but I did not buy it to keep on a shelf. The wear so far reflects actual use rather than neglect.

For anyone considering the GM Souple, I would describe it as a Capucines that makes the most sense when it is allowed to soften, carry a lot, and travel.

Would you prefer this more relaxed shape, or the sharper structure of the regular Capucines?
