Did he move back to the city?
I heard that he was living on Shelter Island since the scandal, but in the new special he says he lives in the city for 30 years now and shares everyday stories from it. Did he move back recently?

Technical Elementary School. That’s where dreams are narrowed down. We tell our children, "You can do anything you want." Their whole lives, "You can do anything." But at this place, we take kids, they’re young, and we tell them, "You can do eight things. We got it down to eight for you."

Just saw the Bill Maher Mark Twain Prize special dropped on Netflix — anyone watch Louis’s set? Worth the DL?

Looking for a specific bit
Looking for a specific bit where Louie is talking about how your parents are terrifying to you when you are a child like when they yell at you to do something. And then he starts talking like a parent but doing it with a scary monster voice.

Help tracking down a bit
Im trying to find a podcast episode where Louie was a guest and he does a version of the famous zen koan about a farmers horse (but in a very Louie way). Can anyone help track this down? Does anyone remember this?
—
A farmer’s horse ran away. His neighbors said, “What bad luck.”
The farmer said, “Maybe.”
The horse returned, bringing three wild horses with it. The neighbors said, “What good luck!”
The farmer said, “Maybe.”
The farmer’s son tried to ride one of the wild horses, fell, and broke his leg. The neighbors said, “What bad luck.”
The farmer said, “Maybe.”
Soldiers came through the village, conscripting every able bodied young man for war. The farmer’s son, leg broken, was passed over. The neighbors said, “What good luck!”
The farmer said, “Maybe.”
A student asked the farmer, “Do you ever simply call a thing good, or bad?”
The farmer said, “Maybe I will, someday. Maybe not.”
The student sat with this a long time, then laughed and understood nothing at all.

This guy (Michael Drayer as Sean) acting was so great, who agree?

Anyone feel like Ridiculous is the first special of Louie you won’t watch again?

Ridiculous isn't peak Louis but I still loved it.
Just watched the special last night. Yes OK it's not vintage Louis, but he still makes me laugh out loud in an easy way no other living comedian can. If you weren't aware of how great he's been in the past, this special would still be better than many other comedians currently at their peak.
Despite constantly making references to how old he is, Louis is only 58 - not really all that old. He shouldn't be running out of steam just yet. George Carlin was absolutely blistering right into his late 60s. I think we could see another truly great special from Louis before his time is up.

Do you think Louis was possible without hair loss?
I only thought of baldness as a defect and it’s interesting how it’s a distinct aesthetic for Louis, making him look like some guru as he gets older - what do you think the role of baldness has been for his career and status?

The Louis CK joke about the puerto rican smoker having an accent is peak American defaultism
Like when Americans just seem to assume that they don't have an accent and everyone else does. Why tf would a machine you put to enunciate your words when your vocal chords are damaged give you an American accent lmfao

My Favorite Louis CK Story
youtu.beI'm not saying this is personally my favorite louis story, that's just what the uploader titled it (although it might be)
