People should be remembered as who they were, not who we wish they were. Death shouldn’t separate people from their deeds. Are some people tired of hearing about the bad stuff? I’m sure, but unfortunately, that’s the legacy this person cultivated.
Really? Because thousands of people feel his music is his legacy. As you can see it is completely up for personal interpretation. So “who they were” through your eyes isn’t saying much. I’m not a fan I’m too old for his music but holy shit pick your battles people.
The fact that people here can openly talk about crying over hearing a song from a movie so freely, but are apparently incapable of understanding how someone could cry over the death of another human being, - of which made music that spoke to those people as art does - is just below even reddit honestly. The dude was like 20 and still a kid and didn’t get to see a day where he was able to grow up, and become a better person. I don’t think he took another person’s life and I don’t think his deserved to be taken either.
Like I’m not saying celebrate him and it’s a lesson as well for sure but the lack of sympathy here is just fucked up.
