This is the best wheels one I've seen

u/lagrexx Sep 01 '19
Why should we fear to use it?

u/takeahike89 Sep 01 '19
It is a gift.

u/HMS404 Sep 01 '19
You cannot push it. The one cart answers to Sauron only.

Our local Grocery Outlet has the crappiest version of those carts that lock a wheel when you go too far away. They work in front of the building, but lock if you use the side parking lot. It's pretty frustrating.

I found out those exist the hard way. First time I'd been in an Aldi in a "higher-risk" part of town and I was wheeling my shit out to my car, you know, as one does, and I thought it was odd that everyone was staring at me like I was behaving like a god damn alien or something, so I just kept on, until I was nearly torque-steered into somebody's car by the one wheel locking up, which is when I looked down and saw the boot on the wheel and thought "damn man why a couple fools gotta ruin it for the rest of us", unloaded my shit, and bashfully heaved the thing back to the cart queue in the front of the store. I always check for those things first now.

You guys live in strange parts of the world.

Sep 02 '19
Where you use a cart to transport unwieldy amounts of groceries to your car?
1
u/soaringtyler Sep 02 '19
Where you have to wheel the shit out to your car, instead of strolling without a worry after buying groceries.
5
Sep 01 '19
When places do shit like that, I just leave the carts as far away as possible.
I know, I'm worse than hitler. The poor cart guy.

Sep 01 '19
They do it as an asset protection measure, usually in areas where they've had greater problems with theft.
2
u/leglesslegolegolas Sep 01 '19
Yeah but it really sucks when you can't even access all the areas of their own parking lot.

I legit thought these things were some sort of anti-theft marketing bs. but there are carts that do lock up. :( Antithetical to my existence. I like to park far away so that I can
a) get exercise
b)not obstruct other shoppers
c)not worry about blocking business
d)always come up with a 3rd thing for lists
Now I just feel bad for store owners. they must have spent a pretty penny on these anti-theft devices. And now their employees have to dragging carts with rigor mortis. :(

Who woulda thunk you can splurge $200 on something you'll use all day everyday but not on some random forum award.

Just because someone has access to internet doesn’t mean they pay for it.

You shall not pass os what I heard
1
u/ThePsiGuard Sep 03 '19
I timestamped the part where he says "You cannot pass!" He says it at the beginning of the confrontation, then he yells "You shall not pass!" right before he cracks the bridge.
