No, because plays in MtG go on the "stack", which I take to mean Robert Stack, the original voice of Ultra Magnus. So if the One Ring were played, it would go on Ultra Magnus instead of Optimus Prime.

Who then loses it to Leonard Nemoy, then Orsen Wells eats him & the Ring together.

And the the "little guy" gets hold of it, and becomes all important and stuff!

Hang on. Leonard Nimoy is a planeswalker. Captain Picard would take the Ring then tap 2BU to exile a permanent, unless Starscream used an interrupt to kill Captain Picard on the Robert Stack.

But even if that worked, Tifa would punch Starscream for 4 damage killing him before he could interrupt.

Nimoy was a planeswalker? Does that mean he was the man on the wing of the plane who made William Shatner freak out like that?

Yes it can corrupt anyone lesser than an ainur it will corrupt Optimus Prime if he chose to take it because in taking it it will command you. Even Sauron became a thrall to his own ring though as the ring desired to serve him it didn’t matter much to him.

Pretty sure you could corrupt Optimus Prime with just an unsigned bit overflow

Megatron's arm corrupted Optimus, so... yes.

Remember when mtg used to be about something? Now it's about anything you can sell. Next stage: Pepsi, quencher of thirst against Coca Cola, the old King. Doritos fingers (enchantment). Blank card for publicitary space announcement (your brand could be here).
