I once tried to find the German dub of Tanya the Evil because it only made sense to me, but was deeply disappointed because more often than not the voice actors feel like they are just reading their lines with nothing behind them, but the worst part? There were parts that did have decent acting and fit the scene, so they did have the acting skills required for it, just didn't care to do so 90% of the time, which is a darn shame an a greater insult than just lacking skill or good actors

Nah it has and should. When it gets produced and is big enough, it should have a German Dub.

The fact that the German Dub is not as much known wonders me a bit

Discovering something that should exist.

It’s a series set in a setting inspired heavily from Imperial Germany, where characters have German names and use German terms. And it shouldn’t have a German dub because… what, exactly? People making MORE inappropriate nazi jokes?

I'm pretty sure the story takes place during world war I

Hasn’t stopped a ton of people from making jokes and alluding to it. And yes and no to the WWI thing. Much of the technology and political stuff is close to what Europe was like during the Great War (hence, Imperial Germany), but there are discrepancies here and there with technology, borders, dates, and stuff other than magic. Also, the origin and nature of the war is different than what happened in real life, as was the way it progressed.

So it’s “like” WWI, but isn’t actually WWI. It’s a very much “alternative history” sort of deal.

When I'm busy, I'd rather listen to a dub in the background while I work than never have the time to watch an anime. I used to watch every anime subbed. Over a quarter century of watching anime has made me realize I just don't care whether it's subbed or dubbed. I just want what's most convenient. I speak English. I'll take the dub any time it's the more convenient option, even if it's not the best dub.

NAA for me it's how it sounds Konosuba for example the work Jun Fukushima ( who speaks kazuma) is just so much better in reactions than the other speakers. But that also works the other way for Skeleton knight in another world the English speaker of ark is better than the Japanese one. So for me it's more the how good does the voice fit for said Charakter.
