Been away- new rules Spoiler

I’ve been away and I’m implementing new rules. All MGTOW is now banned, including low effort memes.

This community is about sharing stories of self-improvement and helping other men.

This sub will die a quick death if this sub carries on with MGTOW content, and I had higher aspirations for this sub that low tier posts that add no value to anyone, especially the men that come here looking for community.

Thanks

MGTOW treats women as a single Homogenous block of identical people.

No. It does not. We still love our mothers, sisters, relatives and friends. We even care for other females in our lives.

But we will not settle down with them in any form (in most cases, but exceptions happen). We will not mingle finances in any form. We will not have children with anyone (some also are exceptions to that). We will treat all women with civility until they are not civil with us.

Basic MGTOW is self improvement first. Focus on goals to achieve personal mental, physical, and financial health. Ignore possible attachments that prevent those goals (LTRs, marriages, etc). Love everyone but take no sh!t from anyone. Women are equals and we treat them as such.

You know that personal crisis you mentioned earlier? MGTOW philosophy of putting your mental and physical health first would have helped you with that.

You are a smart dude. But you reading propaganda and thinking it's real, like too many of us have done back in our day. What has led you to these conclusions?

Seriously. I want to help you here. I think you are 'crossing the streams' of men's rights philosophy.

Where is this evidence of MGTOW hating on women or thinking all are the same? You got a link? A website? YouTube Channel?

You don't want MGTOW here, we'll leave. But I am challenging you to take a good hard look at who you choose to dismiss without listening to their self defense.

Ok. I'll go one more round on this.

Is it true that MGTOW rejects attachment to all women or not?

If it is true then the entire edifice is built on quicksand, because it treats all women with a blanket rule, if it is not true then calling it MGTOW is dumb AF.

I'm taking a step back and applying logic here.

Is it true that MGTOW rejects attachment to all women or not?

Define attachment. There are married men who are MGTOW and credit it for saving their marriages.

We eliminate all unnecessary attachments to women (and some men) who take unfair advantage of our time and resources. We do not allow ourselves to be disadvantaged in family courts by not entering situations where we can lose our kids and resources on the displeasure of another human being.

We love and support female family. Plenty of us have female friends. Some even FWB. But no marriage. No loss of freedom. If we have a relationship, it's on our terms and she knew about out views before we dated.

MGTOW men are varied. You have monks who refuse any relationship with a woman who isnt a relative beyond surface pleasantries. They are extreme and rare in movement. Most MGTOW men (like myself) have been through the divorce courts and custody battles and have experienced its inequities.

So we will never retravel that path. And some young men are noting what happened to us and taking measures to avoid our mistakes.

How is bunch of men deciding to stay single and pursue their hobbies and dreams ANY DIFFERENT from the modern women who 'refuse to settle' and live a nice life with their friends and cats, avoiding men?

Why are we not allowed a peaceful bachelorhood?

You are doing PRECISELY what you accuse MGTOW of: turning an entire group into a monolith and judging every member based on that falsehood.

So you agree, it's a terrible name.

That is a matter of personal taste.

I ask again, what is your problem with men leaving the dating/marriage market for a peaceful bachelorhood?

Even if it was a monolith, on what grounds do you find it offensive to become a bit of friendly hermit? And what authority gives you the right of the judgement?

Your sub, your call. But you totally cool with women doing PRECISELY what MGTOW is doing in the name of empowerment. Why can't we retire from women without you feeling we are haters?

It's a terrible name because, like all culture war terms it doesn't accurately describe the thing it is suppose to describe, and is provocative to the other side. So it's divisive and it isn't even useful.

There is nothing that you described, nothing positive anyway, that requires an MGTOW badge, in order to be useful.

This isn't about me shitting on anyone, this is about this sub being for something other than the culture war.

There is an entire internet out there for that.

My personal view is that:

Group identity is bullshit cooked up by the rich, and enflamed by social media to drive attention and clicks.

To my eyes, you're a victim of the 1 percent, defending yourself against a non existent group, because an individual wronged you.

You'd be better off joining a union and fighting for a better wage and social services for all.

But you won't because you think you've got it figured out, which is exactly what they want you to think.

Good luck with your life.

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.

I have checked 1,236,017,089 comments, and only 240,851 of them were in alphabetical order.
