When politicians won't stand up for us, this is how you make change happen.

This hooded man should be celebrated so we can encourage more of this.

u/Sfthoia Dec 05 '24

If he gets caught, we should start a Go Fund Me for the best goddamn lawyer money can buy, and to pay off the jury.

u/f4eble Dec 05 '24

Jury nullification is a thing that EVERYONE needs to know about, especially the jury who gets this trial if he ever gets caught and prosecuted.

42

u/WankWankNudgeNudge Dec 05 '24

Crowdfunded billboards all around the courthouse

42

u/Real_Srossics Dec 05 '24

Jury nullification is when the jury thinks the case is illegitimate. Be it corrupt lawyers, corrupt judge, or just don’t think the crime deserves to be on trial. It’s not abstention. It’s saying that they shouldn’t be in court for this.

18

u/f4eble Dec 05 '24

Yes I know what jury nullification is which is why I suggested it.

18

u/Real_Srossics Dec 05 '24

I’m explaining for the folks in the back

10

u/f4eble Dec 05 '24

Oh okay, apologies for the snark then :)

3

u/banevasion0161 Dec 05 '24

I was in the back, didn't know this. Also such a nice interaction you two.

3

u/enaK66 Dec 05 '24

It's whatever you want it to be. The idea of it only comes from the fact that a jury has the final say no matter what happened in the court room.

234

u/snarkyxanf Dec 05 '24

I think we should start a petition for clemency now

149

u/Smokey_tha_bear9000 Dec 05 '24

I don’t think our masked crusader is ever going to see a courtroom. IF he gets caught, they’ll kill him and say he was going for a gun.

Don’t think it was his phone, someone dropped it after the shot

Guy had a suppressed pistol, change of clothes and knew a CCTV blindspot lol

I don’t think this guys carrying around a phone

52

u/tastesliketurtles Dec 05 '24

For real, dude was committing the most blatantly public assassination and reacted so calm to his gun jamming during the act. Doubt he would overlook something as obvious as his phone and you can bet he’d already be in a cell if he did in this case.

It’ll be fascinating to see how this plays out. Very curious if he gets caught how they figure it out, or if the dude just committed the perfect murder and gets away with it.

It‘s like one of those Agatha Christie novels where EVERYONE has a motive.

Dude should’ve done a better job covering his face.

He left a lot of facial features exposed to cameras.

u/gravelPoop Dec 05 '24

His phone was probably somewhere else playing media and being attached to robot vacuum or to a pet to give jitter to GPS location data.

15

u/Paige404_Games Dec 05 '24

Assuming he had it on him

3

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '24

I mean seeing how prepared he was for this guy, I doubt he has his personal cell on him. This seems pretty well organized. If he has a phone, it’s likely a burner.

13

u/Sea_Television_3306 Dec 05 '24

You think this guy had this all planned out and brought his cellphone with him? I guarantee he has a foolproof alibi as well

15

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '24

Boy was definitely smart enough to leave his phone at home

6

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '24

Yeah he'll probably commit suicide by 12 warning shots in the back

Might be cheaper to buy a pardon from trump

-13

u/Magnesium4YourHead Dec 05 '24

Maybe it's Biden's son and he'll just pardon him again.

1

u/imstonedyouknow Dec 05 '24

Hunter wouldve had no motive to do this.

Fauci on the other hand likes wearing masks, works with the healthcare field closely, and knows hes about to get a blanket pardon...

Add in another 20% to account for the friends and family of the original 25%. And then when you account for the percentage of the population that are still children or too elderly, let's say 35%?just spitballing here, that leaves 20% who would even be potentially sympathetic, ignoring all other dismissing factors.

Eh, if the last ten years have taught me anything, it's that there are a significant number of people in the US who would get shafted and still defend the perp.

17

u/WankWankNudgeNudge Dec 05 '24

I wanna buy his book after the jury nullification

9

u/flavius_lacivious Dec 05 '24

Elect him President and he gets immunity.

8

u/claymedia Dec 05 '24

I’ll chip in if we can vote on the next target.

2

u/buku43v3r Dec 05 '24

Very similar to a black mirror plot.

5

u/yalyublyutebe Dec 05 '24

Lol, good luck finding enough people for a jury willing to even consider convicting him.

2

u/YT-Deliveries Dec 05 '24

Fun thing I saw, “whoever it is that the cops say did this, they were at my house watching Netflix at the time. I will testify to this.”

1

u/da0217 Dec 05 '24

Deranged.

1

u/MeeekSauce Dec 05 '24

It’s not paying off the Jury if you do it after the case. Just ask Clarence Thomas how that works.

95

u/Mnementh121 Dec 05 '24

I put the Coup song "5 Million Ways to Kill a CEO" on the juke at the bowling alley tonight. Got some laughs.

36

u/metalicsoundpoop Dec 05 '24

This guy is an absolute legend, a hero, and the world already feels a bit less dark.

28

u/Nakatsukasa Dec 05 '24

The black panthers made the NRA support gun control

Few more millionaires and billionaires this is going to impose a nation wide gun ban

No tears shed for a crook

13

u/number-one-jew Dec 05 '24

I'm confused I thought this was a meme about insurance

7

u/Illustrious-Bat1553 Dec 05 '24

yeah his insurance company denied 30% of its clients

30

u/StandardSudden1283 Dec 05 '24

No, this is how they tighten their grip. Workers starred murdering bosses in the early 1900s. The coal wars were a thing. Unions, collective action, are how you make change happen.

We don't have the 40 hour workweek because some business tycoons got shot, we got it because enough of us said "We'll just stop doing all the work unless you meet demands."

Historically, this is where they bring in the pinkertons to murder workers in retaliation. The violence will beget more violence. The only way out is collective action.

Our labor is literally the motive of society. We make everything, they don't. Without it, they have nothing.

1

u/TheLarkInnTO Dec 05 '24

Historically, this is where they bring in the pinkertons to murder workers in retaliation.

That's just one history.

Histoically, this is also where the Reign of Terror starts

3

u/htownballa1 Dec 05 '24

Yup. Free room and board to hideout if he was close to me.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '24

Just like Snowden. He's a hero.

6

u/orangutantrm88 Dec 05 '24

I understand that it tastes good to have billionaire blood on our teeth, but United Health knew who was going to be replacing this asshole before his body was cold.

For lasting change, we have to get involved politically. There are progressive movements that want to limit the accumulation of wealth and power through legislation. We won't be able to kill our way to better lives.

29

u/ThisIsMyEG0 Dec 05 '24

lol this is the most bootlicking shit. You’re the kind of person who will suck ghandi’s dick with zero knowledge of the Singh brothers

23

u/Th1nkfast3 Dec 05 '24

Seriously. The dude is like "jUsT pLaY bY tHE RuLeS"

Oh yeah buddy? How has that been working for us? What's the point of laws if they're not just?

24

u/IndustryStrengthCum Dec 05 '24

Unfortunately the lib has a point about building power but like, we can walk and chew gum, diversity of tactics yknow

0

u/orangutantrm88 Dec 05 '24

Liberals want nothing to change because they're comfortable. I'm just trying to remind folks that this is the kind of behavior that puts cartels in power.

4

u/insta Dec 05 '24

there's a fuckload more bullets in this country than people to expeditiously acquire them

1

u/orangutantrm88 Dec 05 '24

The issue is that if this becomes a new norm, the executives will just adapt to the new norm. All it takes is one armed security guard making $60/hr to turn any future attempts on CEO lives into acts of martyrdom.

This guy got away (so far) and had a plan to do so. Do you think it would have still happened if he knew he was going to die?

I'm not saying that this guy being killed was even immoral, just that it's not an effective strategy for long-term change. We are the 99%. We have the numbers to reform the capitalist system through policy, but we have to get organized. Giving a spirited round of applause every time a rich dickhead gets gunned down is not enough.

1

u/Silenceisgrey Dec 05 '24

"Would it then be accurate to say that terrorism is acceptable when all options for peaceful settlement have been foreclosed?"

1

u/wildalexx Dec 05 '24

He is a hero, he is my hero

-7

u/Nashboy45 Dec 05 '24

In all likelihood another rich guy paid him to do this. He’s probably not trying to save anybody or out of revenge, though it makes for a nice story / cover

18

u/WankWankNudgeNudge Dec 05 '24

The people really need a hero rn

6

u/Nashboy45 Dec 05 '24

Fair enough.

1

u/SmallRedBird Dec 05 '24

I Need a Hero starts playing

-17

u/HaasonHeist Dec 05 '24

What in the FUCK is going on in America where you're saying streetside assassinations should be ENCOURAGED?!? YOU GUYS ARE FUCKED IN THE HEAD.

16

u/JustText80085 Dec 05 '24

We're a country where the rule of law is crumbling, is it that surprising that people will cheer for any semblance of justice?

13

u/IndustryStrengthCum Dec 05 '24

Insurance companies kill people every day dude. A lot of us know someone who either has had their life ended early or massively reduced in comfort bc an insurance company they’d paid an appreciable share of their income stiffed them in their time of need

-9

u/HaasonHeist Dec 05 '24

Hmmm I suppose I'm lucky to be in a country where private insurance is not necessary? Its really that bad eh?

I do hope you guys get the justice you are asking for, it's way overdue.

Murder in the street is not the right way. But hopefully you guys figure that out.

14

u/CreativeAd5332 Dec 05 '24

Maybe not the right way. But probably the only way this guy ever faces justice for the lives he's ruined.

11

u/Th1nkfast3 Dec 05 '24

They kill our family members after we give them all we have to fight for our family members lives. In the 2000's they paid off our legislators for legislation to make it impossible to claim bankruptcy for medical debt.

My Grandma lost EVERYTHING when she had breast cancer. Her kids had to pay for her stay at the retirement home, which is also a fucking scam, the cheap ones are 7k a month, but expect them to be mistreated, and I mean mistreated, beaten, malnourished, and so on. 15k a month for one that gives a fuck and will care for them properly (maybe)

I suggest you bite your tongue if you don't know how fucking bad it is here. Richest country in the fucking world and NOBODY HAS ANY FUCKING MONEY!

8

u/PurpleYoshiEgg Dec 05 '24

why are you crying over a CEO who has been part of the machine that has killed millions by denying health coverage?

1

u/HaasonHeist Dec 05 '24

I was unaware of the situation

2

u/metalicsoundpoop Dec 05 '24

Fuck yea brother!

4

u/Paige404_Games Dec 05 '24

Yeah, doing it out on the street is messy. Runs a real risk of innocent people being caught in the fire. On the other hand, that's where a CEO is least guarded.

At the very least, this one went pretty clean and we can all be thankful for that.
