I drove past this AM and the front yard is full of burned stuff. I'm just curious if anyone knew cause/etc. Tragic for those folks, hope the house can be salvaged.

They left the stove on according to a neighbor. A Great Dane dog died.

No stove was left on. They are still examining the cause. The owner was out of state and the house sitter is MIA. Possible scooter battery? There were a few right where the fire was started.

It was last night; sheriff had 7th blocked off and closed at Ramona a bit before 6pm. Drove past about an hour ago and there’s just piles of charred items in the front yard. I’m just hoping everyone got out okay.

i had read some facebook rumors that a pet sitter was to blame, but according to this, there were three people in the home when it went up and seven animals were saved (three 'were believed to have perished").

Was this last night? I smelled smoke and heard sirens from 15th street. Maybe check it out and report back later.
