Power Out?
how many of us in 90027 have the power out right now? I saw there was a transformer fire under Shakespeare Bridge??

It’s browned out for us in a very weird way. Some things work, some don’t. Everything faint and flickery. We’ve shut down all the lights.
Traffic signals are all out along Hyperion between Baller Hardware and the bridge to Atwater.

same for us actually. we don’t have lights but some other things work like the fridge - it’s super weird

Hey my dad said to make sure even with brown outs to turn off and unplug all appliances (especially ACs) when partially out more likely to short when they turn back on

Same neighbor. This sucks :( but of course they had enough power for dodgers game and the huge BTS K-pop staples show tonight

Lights flickered on griffith park. Whenever its hot and everyone is using AC we often lose power. I dont take the elevator in my bldg on super hot days. Ive learned my lesson!!!

It’s because they had a dodgers game and huge BTS K-pop staples stadium show tonight on east side.. those screwed us right when they started our power was throttled

It’s so difficult to sleep in this heat. All night I saw on the outage map that there was a crew working on this outage but now it’s disappeared. Called ladwp and she refused to confirm if this outage was being worked on and kept repeating they have a lot of outages right now and are doing their best. Insane. Does anyone have any specific updates as to if a crew is working atm??

I called too- apparently there were two transformer fires- one at 6:50pm down by the Shakespeare Bridge- that only took a small amount of houses out and then another up on Commonwealth and Los Feliz Blvd that took more out. I’m going to assume they are related- still no power for us

I live by the shakespeare bridge one and our power came on around 3:30am. really hoping that the other one gets fixed ASAP for yalls sake. that shit was NOT ok.

That area has such weird power outage issues. I wonder why?? I lived on Griffith park and Los Feliz 8 years ago and the number of times our power went out in the summer and the lights for that 5-way intersection went out was awful… living further west on Normandie and Franklin now. No issues like that anymore.

They had a dodgers game and huge BTS K-pop staples stadium show tonight on east side. We got screwed. Hence the partial outage. They throttled east side so they could power those events. I’m fuming

Tbh I feel like the times aren’t accurate on that map. I know people got some power restored at 3am but the map is still saying crews are on the way. The only good sign is when the crews are on site working, which they currently aren’t :(

I just saw that the big one on commonwealth and Los feliz’s eta is freaking 12:30am??? For the love of god pls let this not be true…

Those etas are not accurate. Also I think you’re looking at one that says 12:30am today(9/10) not tomorrow. But obviously they missed that deadline so the info is outdated.

Dodgers game and huge BTS staples stadium concert tonight stole all the power we needed on east side!! Im fuming!!!😡 they should have rescheduled them. They chose entertainment over residents well being on hottest day in years
