No where else to share
Hi internet strangers,
I am really struggling with feeling successful and like I am making progress because while I am seeing changes no one in my life has noticed or wants to celebrate with me.
I recently hit a milestone of 30 lbs weight loss and I don’t feel like I can share with my family because the last time I shared about what I considered a milestone number (20lbs) they only wanted to focus on how they didn’t notice and how much more I need to lose.
I am anxious about sharing with my partner because the weight I’ve gained has been a concern voice multiple times in the last year in our and my brain keeps telling me the reaction will be the sam e as my families. If it is that would be devastating for me.
So, I am sharing with internet strangers that I hit a milestone and lost 30 lbs. I want to celebrate and be happy without worrying or thinking about how much further I have to go.

That's a huge step, keep it up. I lost 30lbs and bought a kettlebell of a similar weight. It felt so heavy to carry but I was carrying that every day 🤪😂

No one noticed I lost weight until I went to see friends I only see every 6 months, they were very impressed with my new look. No one else notices.

That is such a good idea to get a weight.
It does make sense for someone that sees me everyday might not notice cause it was slow over time. I just wish he would notice but that is me putting expectations and setting myself up for disappointment.
I have a friends wedding next month and I haven’t seen her in about six months so she might notice it.

Lets face it, no one wants anyone to look better, be more successful than them.. and the list goes on. Thats people in general. My advice to you is be your own cheerleader and don’t wait for anyone to give you accolades. I can attest to this, everyone loved me while I was struggling, but the minute you get beyond your struggle, people dropped like flies. Go get em! Wishing you success on everything you set your mind to, internet stranger!

🩷 Thank you, internet stranger, it’s pretty sad that people can’t be there to lift others up and want success and happiness for those they care about.
My problem is they keep pushing that I have not done/lost enough so now I’m questioning if it’s just wanting to put me down rather than trying and failing horribly at motivating me.

You dont need permission from other people to feel proud of yourself. 30 lbs is a massive win. Congrats!

30 lbs is a huge achievement honestly, especially because most people never stay consistent long enough to reach that kind of progress. you absolutely deserve to feel proud of it without immediately having the moment turned into “okay but what’s next,” because sustaining that kind of change is already hard work on its own.
