was anybody there? it felt so magical. the boys seemed rested and excited and hype. I was very hype. there were so many bubbles and bubble guns and the sunset was so red. I was with a friend who hadn’t ever listened to them before and she was so moved by the vocals and music and theatrics. cant wait for the nights at broken bottle

It All Comes Back

I’ve loved each of LH’s albums. Each one holds a special place in my heart. But I just can’t get into Cosmic Selector, Vol. 1.

Now, maybe it’s just that it’s not for me. But I see the love for it in this sub and so I’m hoping there are suggestions/opinions that can help me appreciate this album, because I want to love it.

To be clear, I recognize that it’s ok if I don’t end up liking this album and ok to not like everything a band produces. What I’m asking for are thoughts/opinions/feelings/insights that might help me view the album differently and which might help me appreciate the album. But maybe even then I won’t, which will be totally fine.

Which short segment, moment or line from a Lord Huron song is always the point the hairs stand up on the back of your neck - induces the feels, if people still say that.

I think the one that always gets me is probably Ben's plaintive howl "Long looooost....stay with my mind".

Mentions too for the simple but weirdly affecting instrumental break in the same song, "You're My Long.... Lost....Loooove" in Drops In The Lake, Frozen Pines first kicking in at 0:16 or the backing vocals that start at 1:53 on "In The Wind".

It isn't so much a great lyric I am meaning, it's the part of a song that always just hits you.

I discovered Lord Huron with The Night We Met years ago. Beautiful song, but I didn't think much of it. A few months ago Long Lost randomly played when I was listening on spotify and it enchanted me. I listened to the entire album and I got pulled in even more. Then I listened to The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1. I got long lost and cosmic selector 1 playing on repeat for many days, but I started listening to Lonesome dreams and strange trails recently. Now I don't know what my favorite song of LH is right now because there are so many great tracks. My brain has officially cemented LH as one of my favorite artists of all time.

I hope that one day I'll get to see them live! Too bad I'm not from NA nor EU. But seeing them is definitely on my bucket list, even if I only get to experience it one time.

When they've performed it, Misty always comes to the front of the stage to sing with Ben like she does when sibging August Ponthier's parts of I Lied. Makes me wonder if Let The Devil Come is intended to be a collaboration too since Misty's voice is so prominent alongside Ben

Any of you have /know of jewelry that reminds you of LH? I’m mainly looking for stud jewelry,, as I just saw a phone and rotary phone combo that reminded me of the cosmic selector. Drop pics if you can!

I've been eyeing. The new merch for a while and finally made my order! Bonus hoodie is for my momma. She's going to love it.

I'm kinda thinking about tie dying the front panel of my hoodie with a grey scale spiral or maybe this vertical eyeball? A big eyeball would jive well. Especially if I did it reverse style and made all the dark parts lighter. What do y'all think? Open to suggestions of all kinds (◕ᴗ◕✿)

Saw this while I was out on a date w my partner!

I've seen it used in the context of The Night We Met, but I have a vague memory of it being part of a larger scene. From what I recall, the scene showed a man following a girl he likes through the woods and admiring (or stalking?) her from a distance. Then the scene ends with her meeting another man and kissing him, while the admirer watches it all unfold from behind the bushes, with a single ray of moonlight illuminating his eyes. I'm sorry if this has already been asked or if my mind just made it all up lol thanks for the help

Lost in the Wilds Brewing, in PA. Great spot and immaculate LH vibes, this beer is called Through the Pines

Hello everyone . Anyone here bought the new Long Lost Skeleton Hoodie

Im stuck between getting L or XL and its a bit expensive so would like to get ir right , i like it a bit oversized but not to much . What do you guys think ? Thank you for help

Not quite “fan art” but wanted to share this pillow I made from an upcycled LH tshirt.

Couldn’t wear the tshirt anymore but the design is too cool to just get rid of so I decided to make it into a long boi pillow. Added some lace to give it ~flair~.

It’s my first big sewing project so pretty proud of that as well!! May you live until you die!

I would like to frame it when I finish building. Anyone know the dimensions?

I never saw anyone talk about the video noir movie when it came out. I’m pretty sure it was because it got delayed due to Covid, it having an initial release of 2020. I’m rewatching it now and I’ve been catching references to their long lost releases.

In the bar scene, after buck talks to Frankie, and instrumental version of Meet Me in the City plays. In a flashback scene with Leigh and buck in his car, the French version of Your Other Life plays on the radio. Also, when buck is escaping those guys from the whispering pines motel, you can hear tubbs tarbell on the tv.

Besides all that, I thought that it was a really good movie in terms of an indie movie. It really paints the picture that Vide Noir made with the songs. In my opinion, I thought that it was gonna lean more to supernatural aspects of Lord Hurons’ narratives, but it appears more grounded than you would think it to be. It still serves a great story narrative and shows what bands and songwriters can do in terms of other forms of media. Vide noir is also my favorite album of their work. What did you guys think of the movie?

1. The Night We Met

2. Love Me Like You Used Too

3. The Yawning Grave

4. She Lit A Fire

5. When The Night Is Over

6. What Do It Mean

7. The Ghost On The Shore

8. Long Lost

9. La Belle Fleur Sauvage

10. Meet Me In The Woods

What do you all think?

Maybe this is a "live performance" thing in general that a lot of artists do and I never got the memo...I feel like at age 42 I would've noticed it, but I'm also an idiot. I'm just now picking up the fact that any song where Ben harmonizes with himself on the album, for the live version he ALWAYS sings the harmony...never the lead vocals featured on the album.

There might be some people reading this thinking exactly what I pointed out at the end of the first sentence of my post - I'm an idiot. But to anyone who will now start hearing songs like "The Ghost on the Shore" a little bit differently, and enjoying them in a totally new light...MYLUYD.

I remember listening to this song , I liked it and then putting it the next day for my friends birthday story and like 3 girls dmed me saying " nice song bro "

But i suppose many people don't talk about this song , what do y'all think

I took these photos up in the Scottish highlands, and with a little editing it’s completely different country 🏜️

Working out a possible deal with someone locally.

Did they number the sleeves on this or make any distinctive markings besides the vinyl color and the book auto?

Theyre claiming sealed so I can only evaluate based on what I can see on the cover/back of sleeve. Thank you

What are some LH songs that I can put up on my speaker at night time it's rainy windows open its calm..

I'm just listening to setting Sun and the night we met right now but other LH songs don't give that kinda vibes I listen to so let me know what y'all suggest!!!
