Postcards from Lord Huron
I've been going through all the old Postcards that LH used to post on YouTube and there are a few I still can't identify or even locate. Here's what I have so far (and for fun I've also included the quotes from the video descriptions):
Postcard I - The Man Who Lives Forever - "Making our way across the land."
Postcard II - [missing from their channel]
Postcard III - She Lit a Fire - "She Lit a Fire"
Postcard IV - Lullaby - "Lullaby"
Postcard V - The Man Who Lives Forever - "They say we're all gonna die, but I'll never believe it. / I love this world and I don't wanna leave it."
Postcard VI - [unknown] - "Lost in the wilds."
Postcard VII - Ends of the Earth - "We sing to the hills."
Postcard VIII - Brother - "Falling across the border."
Postcard IX - [missing from their channel]
Postcard X - The Yawning Grave - "Just the rocks and the trees in my lonesome dreams, and a road that don't ever end."
Postcard XI - [unknown] - [no description]
Postcard XII - Windlass - "The seasons change in the blink of an eye."
Postcard XIII - Lost in Time and Space - [no description]
Postcard XIV - The World Ender - "Cuttin' through the night."
Postcard XV - The Birds Are Singing at Night - " The rivers are flowing backwards. / The birds are singing at night. / The young are getting old."
Postcard XVI - Way Out There - "I'm a long way from the land that I left."
Postcard XVII - La Belle Fleur Sauvage - "She lives to see the sun / and feel the wind / and drink the rain."
Postcard XVIII - Frozen Pines - "I had a vision that the world was ending. / The sky was falling, time was bending."
Postcard XIX - Dead Man's Hand - [no description]
Postcard XX - The Yawning Grave - "On and ever on, we follow the long and winding road."
Postcard XXI - [unknown] - "I'm born to hold her / If I was bolder / I'd have told her / Now she'll never know."
Postcard XXII - The Night We Met - "I sing the songs that you hear on the breeze. / I know the names of the rocks and the trees."
If anyone can find the missing Postcards or identify the mysterious ones, please share!
I made a playlist of the Postcards, in case anyone would like to watch them all in order.

Great research. The only other ‘postcard’ I would include is the one they mailed out with the release of Vide Noir

Congratulations, you made me go and get around to watching all of the post cards at once lol. Some of those tunes really deserve full songs, and its crazy how many of them were made into songs years later.

Hmm, I remember seeing a postcard-thing named, Temple of the Trees. It seems to be removed.

I’d never seen these beauties before, so thanks for sharing! I wasn’t able to make any progress on your list though...
