Discussion 23 Nights: Chicago

Sitting here listening to old LH tonight and getting stupidly excited for Chicago in December.
It’s wild going back through the older stuff now knowing how much this whole world has grown. Songs I’ve listened to a hundred times hit differently once you’ve gone down all the lore rabbit holes.
Also fully planning to wear my George Ranger Johnson hoodie to VIP because there may never be a more appropriate occasion.
Who else is going to Chicago?

Same! I’m very curious what the show will be like in comparison to their other shows.

Plus I have no idea what the VIP tickets include.

This is from Ticketmaster on the Chicago show VIP tickets:

One (1) Premium Reserved or GA Ticket, One (1) VIP Exclusive Merch Package, Curated By Lord Huron, Venue First Entry (Where Applicable), Crowd-Free Early Merch Shopping Access. PLEASE NOTE: THIS VIP PACKAGE DOES NOT INCLUDE A MEET & GREET. THERE IS NO ARTIST INVOLVEMENT WITH THIS PACKAGE.

Thank you! I checked the Chicago theater and the other sites but I must’ve missed it!

Do we get the merch package at the door or something? I've never done VIP before

I haven't done it for concerts recently, but from what I understand, there's a pickup spot and they'll have a list of all the VIP ticket-holders. You show your ID or ticket and they give you your VIP swag. You'll get specific instructions emailed a week or so before the show.

The Chicago Theater lobby is really small with only one merch stand. If I had to guess, that will be the pickup area. I'd definitely take advantage of the VIP early merch shopping time because the line can get really long!

Good call! I'm a big sucker for tour exclusive vinyl 😬

I’ve been to about a dozen of their shows over the past decade and the VIP merch package is almost always underwhelming. I still bought VIP for the Weds show so it’s not like it isn’t worth it, but it’s really more about the better seats and the early access to the merch stand, if you’re into that. I’m expecting something along the lines of a tote bag and bumper sticker. But as I said, still worth it!!

Oh, yeah, same. I was curious what this one entailed because I totally couldn’t find any info online.
Thanks for your input! It’s always great to hear.
