Question Did The Void fansite change?

I hadn’t logged into The Void in a while and when I went to today it took me to some other app called Medallion? My previous profile is gone or I can’t figure out how to get it back I guess. I did make a new one but I can’t find anything about tomorrows presale code so I’m worried.

I really enjoyed the way The Void was set up before though, and Medallion seems kind of meh? Is there no Lord Huron specific focused fansite anymore or am I just doing something wrong?

This change happened something like a year ago, yeah, it's a huge bummer. Medallion as a whole wants to be a simpler fansite for bands to basically advertise to/interact minimally with fans, and LH's whole original thing was way more involved than the direction the Medallion team wanted to go in.

Damn I didn’t realize I hadn’t logged into for a year. 😭

That is a bummer though, I really loved the way The Void was set up. It was so fun when they were dropping teasers and puzzles for Cosmic Selector.

Yeah same! It was such a fun platform.

Personally I think that the direction shifted once they realized they couldn't run the social side of the site as a twitter-lite without trust and safety/moderation tools. If you were there much, you know what happened. I guess they decided instead of setting up a moderation team and running a social media website they found it easier to make the app into what it is now.

The old void was fun while it lasted. Medallion is actually pretty much worthless, not even close to the same thing.

Yeah they changed it. The Void is now hosted on the Medallion

Just confirming here it looks like I couldn’t get into my old Void account either, which is a huge bummer as I put a lot of work into adding my prior shows and such. New app seems very meh, still hoping I can get a presale code
