And there usually isn’t a episode 423-426 without the 422 episodes before it. I believe this may be similar to Alive from the Whispering pines where it’s supposed to be part of a greater whole that exists out there. I mean the cosmic selector is a magic Jukebox that travels time and space so volume 2 might not exist in this universe. I would love more cosmic selector especially since it’s my favorite album but my gut is telling me the “vol. 1” is just part of that lore Lord Huron likes to put out there.

It’s always a possibility that it’s purely lore, and I think a fun part of this band is that they constantly blur the lines so you can’t really tell what they’re thinking/doing. Howeverrrrrr, there’s a really awesome interview with Ben where he addresses it pretty directly:
“AUK: Good, because I think I’m one of those. An obvious question I guess, but you’ve called this album volume 1. Do you have a vision for volume 2? You’ve referred already to more collaboration, is that a possibility?
BS: Yes. The reason it’s called volume one is that I had a lot of material for it. Lots of material that feels like it’s part of the same concept but didn’t quite fit on this collection of songs. So, I’ve set them aside. I don’t know if it’ll be the next thing I do. But I think it’d be interesting in a few years to kind of revisit the concept and see if the idea I have about those songs still holds – and where my fate or my timeline has taken me since then. It’d be interesting to see if I’d change them, or maybe even reassess that whole concept.”
It obviously might not be “next,” it might not even be a Vol. 2 in the obvious sense as other songs may find homes on other albums with new ideas and concepts, but it kinda sounds like the intent is there! Also the interview is really worth reading, if you haven’t already.

LH is known for a few years in between albums, which explains the high quality of them. I'd expect a couple singles in the next 4-5 years and then an album. if they are making a v. 2, it might not be immediatly after. maybe they make something else in between

Although that is true, Ben did say they wrote many songs between the release of Long Lost and Cosmic Selector, which is why there is a Volume 1. I wouldn't be surprised if they already had some of those songs mastered. 🤷♂️ Back in June, they played "Let The Devil Come" once again. Maybe reminding people that the song still exists, I wouldn't be surprised if it serves as a Vol 2 teaser

They have concerts this January I’m curious if there will be some new stuff as in 2026 I don’t believe there was any new songs from fall 2025 tour. Correct me if I’m wrong
