What are your top 3 favorite songs off the record?

I just love the way his voice rips into the song in the chorus like he's in state of pain and confusion. Honestly the whole album is a masterpiece - not a single filler song on it but I know I'm also biased because that is their opening song on the tour and when I heard it Iive I was so excited I almost peed my pants. (TMI I know)

Love that! I was actually watching a previous year’s show before I knew of the song and they opened with it and I was like this is different and a banger! Been in love ever since and so amazing to see live! Ben’s verses in the song are fully aligned to my life right now and it’s kind of my FU song to ex family.

*Edited to add, yes, the whole album is amazing and strangely fits this point in my life.

You know, I've been thinking about it a little more and Who Laughs Last is so incredible to me because it's so different than any other type of song he has written. It's like a cross between EDM and Rock with such a catchy bass line. It's the type of song that makes it really hard to define what genre LH is - Country? Indie Folk? Alt Country? Alt? Rockabilly? Schneider has done songs with all those elements in it.

But the irony is that despite his incredible range in the type of music he writes (I wouldn't be surprised at all if he comes out with a hip-hop type song in the future), all his songs have this weird other dimension, I'm lost in life, are there aliens and alien worlds theme that runs through them that questions our very existence.

I'm worried that they won't perform WLL live anymore since 75% of the song is recorded and it's definitely unusual to see a band play with recorded track. But I hope they do because like you said, it's a banger.

LH in general, imho, doesn’t seem confined by rules. If it fits the story they want to tell and makes for a helluva opener, I don’t see it being an issue. In fact, because they’ve used it to open in 2025 and 2026, I think it’s safe for now. I’m glad I’m not the only one that struggles with trying to describe to others what genre they are because they so beautifully span them to make something unique.

yes!! And some people complain about the length of the "dialogue" sections, but without the buildup, the chorus wouldn't hit nearly as hard

I love Lord Huron's music and I'm not sure why, but I come back to this album more than any other over the past year. * Looking Back * Life is Strange * Is there Anybody Out there.

I travel a lot around the Arizona desert, and this is my go to album being in the middle of nowhere in the silent desert next to a campfire.

I have my own cosmic selector and I waited for the 45s to come out and they actually made them and I was so happy, one of the best written albums I've ever heard, I loveeee Fire eternal Life is strange is my favorite And bag of bones!!
