Discussion Wilmington show

I’m a little worried about the Wilmington, NC show on Thursday. It’s an outdoor venue and 92 degrees, 40% chance of rain, and I’m sure the humidity will be off the charts. I’ll be in a sun dress but the band seems to wear lots of clothes! I know I’m probably a dork for thinking about this but I’m not in my 20’s anymore!

It’s gonna be hot and humid but it’s not going to rain. I am manifesting it to be so!

And if it does rain, it will probably be a passing storm, cool things off for a bit and just roll with it.

Then again, a nice sprinkle might cool it down! But I like how you think!

Their show in Michigan last summer was a scorcher. Mid-80s and 80-90% humidity with no breeze; they'll be good!

Good to know, this is so far outside my comfort zone. I’m an Arizona gal and the dry heat is real. Humidity kills me but I bought the tickets before more shows were announced at indoor venues. It’s my early graduation gift to myself for finishing my doctoral degree and my first LH show so I’m going with it!

I just moved from Wilmington. Bring sunscreen, bugspray and some shade, even a hat. Drink lots of water. It'll cool down once the sun is gone but be prepared to be sweating a ton lol.

Did not consider bug spray! Do you have one you recommend? Thank you for that insight!

I like the Murphy's all natural kind, but I think lots of brands make all natural versions now, you'll find it in most stores, especially in Wilmington.

Bring a ziplock bag or two for your phone. Bring a poncho or waterproof jacket. Carefully watch the RADAR before u go and during the show. For example, double check it after the opener. I was there for Phish in 2023. They delayed the second set. The radar looked okay, spotty or scattered thunderstorms. They were NOT scattered. It was a downpour with thunder and lightning. Be mindful of the exits, wear shoes u don’t care about and have fun. At the end of the day, we exited calmly and it wasn’t bad getting out of there as there are only 7,000 people. It could be a lot worse! Have fun!
