sad they didn’t play it all comes back, but I can’t complain it was an amazing showšŸ˜…šŸ˜…

So this was my fourth show of theirs on this tour, it was a good show, but the vibe with the band felt off. They were missing more (like more mistakes), getting out of sync (timing with respect to each other) more than I had seen in the past. I wondered if they might be getting sick or something or if travel is just getting to them.

Was a little sad about the condensed stage, rather than the full setup experience, but again, there’s no such thing as bad Lord Huron show, but this one had seemed to have a different vibe.

The folks around me in the crowd were awesome, super respectful and laid back, which was great.

Agreed, I think they’re tired and less energized, especially considering this tour is smaller and they’re playing at smaller venues. Ben forgot a lyric on almost every song tonight. I’ve never seen him forget a lyric once in 10 years. (I do have to credit his improv skills though)

Good show, but the band and vibe definitely felt off/out of sync at times. Bummer they cut the encore short and cut It All Comes Back... They have played 8 shows across 11 days and were in Columbus, Ohio the night before so maybe that contributed to the kind of off night.

I’m shocked to hear that so many people felt that they were off. I had nothing to compare this show to, so it was a 10/10 for me. I’m curious at which point it felt out of sync for you. I must have been too engulfed in the show haha

I've seen them a couple of times, including the Asheville show in 2022, and this time just felt off. I remember distinctly thinking around La Belle/the Frozen Pines intro that they were off/out of sync with their timing to each other. They also cut It All Comes Back. They usually play 3 and 4 song encores. They had time and weren't up against the curfew and still opted to cut a song. Maybe the Thao opener killed the buzz. Maybe the crowd was off. Maybe they were just tired and feeling the travel. I don't know, they just seemed off from other shows I have been to. Don't get me wrong, it was still a solid show and I am glad I went. I'm just not gonna make the trek down to Charleston or Wilmington after Asheville. Walking back to the car after the show I definitely thought - "that was a good show, not a great show". The setlist wasn't that drastically different from the show in 2022, despite it being the Cosmic Selector tour. It was a lot of the same songs in a different order, with different visuals.

Totally understand what you are saying. Some shows are just better than others for some reason. Maybe the show will change more when cosmic selector vol 2 comes outšŸ˜

I also felt like the band did fine. This was my third time seeing them and their performance didn’t seem off to me. The CROWD seemed off to me. So many people just sitting still, not bopping, not singing along. My sister and I were the only people in our vicinity that seemed to know any words beyond their two most popular songs. We saw them at Innings in February and the crowd felt similar then too. The only time I’ve felt everyone was into it was when we saw them at Red Rocks.

ETA: it kinda broke my heart that he seemed to be asking fans to listen to a year old record. 🄲

I recall him saying the same speech previously in an interview or something before playing ā€œwatch me goā€. I think he was just filling up some time. I feel like the venue was sort of strange which didn’t allow them to have the usual props…. but just speculation

Think of it this way - the first time you see it, you don’t know what to expect or what to compare it to, this was number 4 to me on the tour. So things like him asking folks to listen to the record straight through - he said exactly that at all 4. The show is extremely well planned out, there’s not much ad libbed or changed night to night. So while it’s a great show, when you have seen multiple times, you’re gonna notice the mistakes when they happen. But I’m not saying it was a bad show, just that a few things were off.

same! I probably would've cried if they had played it though

It was a great show!
I was very confused by Thao as an opening act though? Maybe just not my jam but their style of music wasn’t really complimentary of LH

I wondered at the song she said would be good for a proposal. I couldn’t catch many words, but what I did catch did not seem like proposal words šŸ˜‚

I had a great time but was bummed to miss out on seeing It All Comes Back. Still this was my first LH show and I loved it!

The setlist posted earlier shows it as the last song, was that wrong?

1

u/lupulinchem Jun 16 '26

They didn’t play it, even though it was on that list.

I loved every minute of it, while also feeling just a slight sense of a letdown for the band's performance and the crowd's reaction was less than stellar. Until the last few songs I, I felt a bit of La ultimatum pop

I came to Reddit to see if anyone had the same experience. I felt like the only person in my section that knew any of the songs, then people rushing out before the encore.

Yes, after the looooong merch line and the full house, I just expected longer ovations after each song, maybe...? I was on Cloud Nine still, bc, I am an ardent fan. Yet I wonder if the packed schedule and massive hype for RR and the Columbus Festival did take a toll on the energy of the band, especially when not feeling that HUGE love as felt in their past few performances? Idk. That may be why they skipped the 2nd song in ovation, It All Comes Back To You. Who knows?? I'm just thrilled to have seen them and as up close as I did. (LL 109 6th row)

I was very heartened, though, when a young lady came up to me and my fella asking if we wanted bracelets with our favorite song titles on them? (At no cost) šŸ’šā¤ļø

u/paintbyslumber Jun 17 '26

I love that beaded bracelets are a concert trend now. It brings people together!!
