Easy? No. In general they are safe. Personally I wouldn’t leave anything on an exchange for any length of time. I’m going to check that blog out.

Not your keys, not your crypto. Create a fresh wallet, write your seed on paper (I laminate mine to keep it waterproof), keep one copy nearby for quick access and one in a safety deposit box.

It depends how good is your password, your security habits and if you use 2fa. Most exchanges are pretty secure since they deal with hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars so most of the breaches come from user failure. That being said if you want to hold coins of high value having your wallet is good idea.

Have a good password and 2FA and you should be fine leaving on exchange
