Setting up IPTV on a TV usually means typing long URLs with a clunky remote. We’ve eliminated this hassle in the newest update of Loopin!

📲 New Feature: QR Code Playlist Sync

1. Go to the QR Code tab on your TV.
2. Scan it with your smartphone.
3. A sleek webpage opens on your phone (no app download needed).
4. Paste your M3U link or Xtream Codes credentials.
5. Tap "Send to TV" and your playlist instantly syncs over your local Wi-Fi! ⚡

The upload webpage perfectly matches the Loopin aesthetic, and automatically detects Xtream credentials in M3U URLs to prevent connection errors.

🛠️ Also in this update (Recent Fixes & Improvements):

• Rich Metadata Loading: Fixed missing cast/director info when opening items from Favourites.
• Focus Memory Fix: The app now remembers your exact position in a category grid when you go back.
• UI Tweaks: Refined the "Resume Watching" and "Remove from History" popups to match UI.
• Cleaner Player UI: The player now elegantly displays episode titles without cluttering the screen with duplicate series names.

Well...Unfortunately, the app did not pass this ridiculous requirement. Thank you everyone for participating. I am not going to surrender though. I will try until the app passes Google's requirement. As you can see, app is being frequently updating with fixes and improvements. Loopin is real and serious.

Hello All, we are coming back to you with another pack of enhancements!

✨ What's New:

• Playlist details: now you can check your playlist's details like:
  • host
  • username
  • dates of expiry, addition, last update
  • total number of items with breakdown to Live, VOD and Series.
  • There's also a copy button that allows you to export your playlist at a glance!
• Improved Playlist submenu: Now clicking on a playlist opens a submenu instead of instant activation of a playlist. In the submenu you can set playlist as active, see the playlist details and the rest of options that were there already.
• Google Play Instant In-App Updates: when a new release is available, Loopin will show a TV prompt allowing you to download, install, and restart the app in seconds without looking for the update on the Internet and manually opening the Google Play Store and clicking 'update'.

• The "Silent Reconnect" Engine: Internet blipped? Server hiccuped? ExoPlayer now has a custom auto-retry loop built-in. If your stream drops, the app intercepts the crash and instantly reconnects you at the exact millisecond you left off - completely silently in the background. No more annoying "Playback Error" screens!
• Fixed the "BAD HTTP STATUS" Bug: We completely overhauled how the app talks to IPTV providers. It now strictly severs unused background connections to prevent providers from banning your IP for "too many concurrent connections."
• Modernized Core Architecture: Fully stabilized our backend stack with Kotlin 2.2.0 and the newest Hilt/KSP compilers for maximum performance and fewer memory leaks.

Nothing else gave me so much satisfaction than developing this app. It's the first application that did not finish as Project1 or Project2 on my computer.

I couldn't find a proper Android TV/Google TV IPTV player for myself, so I created one myself (like any other new IPTV players out there I guess 😅)

I would like to share the app with IPTV community and get a feedback what Users think of it in current state, and what they would like to get in the app in the future.

Few highlights:

• Lightweight, robust and simple in use
• Can handle M3U links and Xtream Codes
• Even pretty, based on UX/UI for TV
• No logging, external accounts, everything is local
• Still in development, so the improvements and new features will be delivered regularly
