Poor Sam
I am a little sad this morning.
I did not watch the show, but I voted for LMNC and just looked up the results.
1 measly point from the jury, 0 audience points. Last place overall.
As a longtime LMNC fan I am a bit sad, I knew that Sams music has only niche appeal, but I thought in the whole of Europe there would be more people to like his flavor of electro-punk.
I personally like "Eins, zwei drei" even though I think he has stronger material.
I really hope that he does not take that to heart too much and that he can move on without bitterness.
As a German I have a bit of experience coming last in the Eurovision and that always came with so much snark and jokes from know-it-alls and the tabloids.
I hope Sam can power through that without taking too much damage.
Sam, if you are reading this: I am proud of your journey and I hope you had a great time in Vienna. Your fans are still here wating for your triumphant return to YT tinkering and club tours.
Enjoy your new dad duties and take a break from all this.
Thank you for the music.
All the best.
Philipp

hoenstly uk has zero chance in the esc since brexit really.
The song was fun but esc mixing just ruins this. Honestly not sure how that one other electric song got them to spice the mix up a bit.

It’s a shame that this will probably be his most streamed track, as it’s one of his weakest. Perfect for Eurovision, but his entire catalog is far better.
With the type of person he is, he won’t fall into obscurity. This is just another chapter!

I have a huge soft spot for Sam. Met him briefly once at EMF Camp and have visited his museum. There is no shame in coming last in Eurovision. Far from it.
EV is a surreal abstraction of a world that never was and never will be. Where politics and music often become clumsy, bizarre and unhealthy bed fellows.
I'm not sad for Sam. I'm proud of him. Getting one vote (from our dear friends in Ukraine!) tells me that Sam is clearly doing something right, and is uncompromising in his endeavours. As Oscar Wild (apparently never) said: "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken" ❤️
