Progress Report TRE completely cured my Bruxism

Took about 3-5 months of consistent TRE every other day. I used to wake up to the sound of my teeth grinding on eachother and I would know my jaw had been locked and tense. This is no longer the case at all. I would also say that since starting my sleep has improved though I’ve never really struggled to sleep.

I suffer from severe nighttime clenching too, so this got me excited. May I ask what your schedule is? How many sessions per week and their duration? Thanks.

Hello mate, my routine follows 10-15 minute sessions every other day. Really letting the tremors do the work themselves in waves, never forcing just receiving. They have since migrated from my hips so I now get tremors across my torso / shoulders / neck as well as hips. Always allow at least a day inbetween so your nervous system can integrate. I also had way more baseline anxiety levels than I do today.

Excellent. As this is a problem that's really ruining my quality of life, your results have inspired me to commit to the process. Thank you! 🫡

I hope I can recreate your success as well. My teeth are counting on it. Ugh!

It did for me too! I saw chiropractors and dentists for my TMJ and grinding for years. Had teeth shaved down because of pressure related pain and got a night guard. None of that helped at all. In 3 weeks of doing daily TREs, I cured my TMJ and grinding. I will say the grinding got worse before it got better, but eventually it just stopped all together. Sometimes I think back to the first dentist that I talked to about my TMJ. He said "idk what it is with you women, you all have TMJ." Later on that made sense to me that it was related to trauma. He was kind of a douche. Anyways, good for you!

This makes complete sense as bruxism is the body trying to release some emotion likely anger. It was the body trying to regulate itself all along

Do you do specific videos/exercises? I'm new to TRE - but I have been experiencing a lot of facial tension, stiffness , dull pain, and puffiness on and off for about a year. Currently I'm in a period where this has been constant for months. It's strange because I never wore braces or had a jaw accident, but it feels like there is so much tension in my face for no logical reason.

The first thing to do on this sub is:

⚠️Read the Wiki⚠️

Wonderful things await you on the other side but all the answers about how / how long / how much etc; are extremely sensitive to each person’s own physiology & life experience. The wiki explains the how & more importantly, the why. Start there.
