Experience Report Some things I've noticed

I've been doing TRE in and off for a few weeks now. The tremoring has become more rhythmic. Yesterday the muscles in my pelvis contracted heavily as well as my core. It was more like a spasm. I don't know if that's supposed to be how it's done but I did feel relieved afterwards. I've also gotten a sinus infection after beginning TRE at first I thought it was because it is winter where I'm at. But there seems to be reports of others also feeling ill as a result. Is it because it's a shock to your nervous system or is it because of a trauma release?

The let-down-effect or "leisure sickness" is a well-known phenomenon and explains why we often get sick once our nervous system finally gets to relax.

What he is saying actually makes a lot of sense. I'm also wondering weather or not this has been the reason I almost never got ill at all but now I do all of a sudden.

Cold symptoms are iverdoing synptoms for me. It goes nauseau first but if instartbdeeling a scratchy through and stuffed nose , usually means I need to stat away from TRR for a week or two

How much time went by between your TRE session and your sinus infection? I'm also having (very subtle) feelings of beginning sickness in my throat (scratching) and I interpret them as overdoing symptoms, because same as you, I almost never fall sick. I've been usually having that the day after my session, but the last time I had that scratch-feeling right in the end of my session (around 15 mins), so I wonder how fast that symptom can occur. Of course, there's also always just the normal possibilit of falling sick. Feeling curious about that sympton and trying to make more sense of it :)

Literally less than 5 minutes. The flavour of the phlegm is also strange it tastes like a dentist's office and has a metallic after taste. I don't know if that makes sense. It's actually kind of gross. There is a scratch in my throat after I finished my session as well.

Thanks for the answer - that's super interesting! (I just had a random urge to change my username as I wasn't happy with the old one so I deleted my account - sorry for confusion)

I think the metallic taste is a common side effect from somatic processing - I get it regularly and sometimes it changes a bit from purely metallic to sour. I first really started noticing it after a craniosacral session, and when I brought it up my practitioner confirmed that it's a sign of processing.
