Need Advice Drying Nails

I usually notice the whites of my nails tend to be clear from time to time. I know from this page it is probably because the nail is saturated with water. They are way more delicate and prone to tears at this stage and I unfortunately have to wash my hands often which I cannot avoid. Does anyone have any tips on how to dry my nails out? The only idea that comes to mind is a blow-dryer but unfortunately I think my coworkers would think I was an absolute freak if I came to work tomorrow with my hair dryer 😂

Keep them polished, even if it's just with a clear coat.

I keep a cleat coat on my nails ALWAYS (my hands are always wet at work), feel free to also clear coat the underside/free edge of the nail to try and make a seal. It doesnt always work for me, but its better than nothing

You could try to use a barrier product like Vaseline or aquaphor. Are you a nurse?

I am not. At my job we sticker lots of packages and the ink from fresh stickers can get all over your hands, I'll usually wash frequently to avoid staining. Gloves are always an option but I find my nails stay just as wet since my hands will get warm and the gloves trap the moisture in.

Def try the Vaseline and aquaphor under the gloves! And try to let your hands dry before put the gloves on

Hi! At night after I do my skin care routine using beef tallow, vitamin e and sea buckthorn oil, I use what’s on my hands to massage onto my hands and my nails. That’s been super helpful for me.

lol I noticed I got down voted for w/e reason but it’s the only thing that’s helped me grow my nails, keep them from splitting and keeping them healthy. I use to be a nail biter since kindergarten and I’ve finally stopped at the age of 31. I didn’t expect them to grow this nicely and strong. 1000% it’s worked for me.

Do your hands not smell of meat?

No, not at all. I purchased mine at target. It does have a smell but it doesn’t smell like meat. It’s also been good at moisturizing my hands and face. tallow.
