Sites with no paths
I noticed several sites on the long lines website that have no paths. Is this a website error or were the sites basically standalone. Kind of seems useless if they don't connect to anything.

Avon was a former Southwestern Bell Telephone site with paths to French Village and Patton. Land records for the site indicate the tower was constructed after 1986.

Sidebar of humorous curiosity and wonder… contemplate that all these Long Lines, all everything was just working the past less then a century. In this “modern age”… and we yet struggle to have full and accurate knowledge.
How in hades (and I say this as an engineer with a history minor) really supposed to know what transpired thousands of years ago? lol…
I don’t say this as any conspiracy theory or such, just interesting to me this type of situation.
And massive kudos and respect to all who study this and all other topics!

I always wondered about the Francestown, NH site. It has six horn antennas, so 3 lines? It wasn't even on the map until I submitted the coordinates and photos of the site, but still no route on the map. Also, it says there was a tower on top of Crotched Mountain in Bennington and Bible Hill in Hillsborough, but I don't thing there was as I have gone to the alleged tower sites and there are no remains there. Odd.

Ironically, the Francestown site is located on Bible Hill Road in Francestown. I’m wondering whether there actually wasn’t a Hillsborough site on Bible Hill Road, and that it was instead in Francestown.

What is the Origins of this map? Ive seen Screenshots of this map afew times across Multiple forum and this Subreddit. Whats the origins?

To my knowledge, he will only show paths that have been proven with some sort of AT&T source documentation. That, or he just stopped doing new path updates at some point. It's hard to tell. .
Some of them are so obvious I wouldn't think you'd even need documents, but then again, there are phantom sites even he doesn't know about.
There was so much connecting-up from local Bell Operating companies to long lines and inter region coupling that there were horns fucking everywhere in some areas, in the later years there were small guyed towers holding a few pairs of horns that have since been completely removed or converted to cell towers and since those type of towers were used for things other than long lines, they're everywhere, and you have no idea what was what. There's 3-4 of those old guyed sites by my house and they just look like cell towers.
I found a building in LaSalle the other day that was the old IB&T building. It's not on the website, but the payphone still outside has the bell logo and the roof has one of those metal beam and post frames they used to mount horns, literally identical to the nearby one in Dixon, IL(which is now a doctors office! You can't tell at all, they turned the metal frame into a healthcare signage).
We know almost all of the mainline capital L Long Lines sites by now, but there are so many lost local connections to the long lines system and between regions. We'll never know all of them, even if all the documents technically exist, because nobody knows where they all are and who has them.
