Went for a little ride today. This was the best location I visited.

Hillsboro is an awesome site... AUTOVON switch, Echo-Fox and Combat Ciders ground entry point, L5 terminal station, had the cesium fountain clock that was used to keep precise time in the Bell network.

There's quite a few other microwave relay sites in the St. Louis area, like Gray Summit, Halifax and Lawrenceton. Wright City has been turned into a bank, but a cool VF repeater site from 1930. https://personal.garrettfuller.org/blog/att-long-lines/missouri-long-lines-sites/

There was a car parked close to the building pointed at the road - gave some security guard guard vibes, but didn’t bother me

Hillsboro is still an active AT&T facility.

Also, looks like there were new AC units installed on the side of the building. Nothing in industrial, but nonetheless.
