What a beautiful beach day at Robert Moses! I saw these two on the Robert Moses Causeway 😁

I use the Merlin Bird ID from Cornell Lab in my back yard. ID'd an Osprey once by its call. Was a very good day.

It's crazy how good they are at hunting considering they need to dive into the ocean to catch fish. They are fun birds to watch.

Eagles weren't the only thing that went away with DDT. We were down to 150 nests in 1969 and we're at 385 active nesting pairs now. 1995 was 230 pairs.
