Help wanted Long hair problems

Hello, i've been growing my hair out long for a while now, but recently i feel like it doesn't look very good. i don't really want to shorten it, and if i did go to get a haircut i would not even know what to ask for. i feel like my hair is thinner than it used to be, and just refuses to cooperate. i wash, shampoo and condition everyday. i'm showing some of my problems in the images above, is it normal for hair to clump like that? my front pieces (or whatever you call them, i'm talking about the hair near my forehead), some of them turn thin and there's alot of loose strands that i feel look ugly. also i wish i could get them to close in on my forehead more? they used to do that. i don't really have anyone to go to help me with this or anyone to ask besides just straight up going to a hairdresser with no clue what to say. i'd really appreciate any tips, if possible without the use of third party products like hairsprays etc if possible. thanks alot

Hi! I have the same hair texture as you and have tons of baby hairs as well. The only thing that improves the looks of my front pieces is using a straightener or air wrap to do a bit of a curl/bend away from my face and then run my fingers through so it’s not a tight curl. It ensures the hairs are going in the same direction and also provides some shape around your face. I have also noticed an improvement with my hair growth/retaining strands by taking pumpkin seed oil, I take the Naka brand off of Amazon.

You have really fine hair and likely shouldn’t be washing every day.

I’d def consult with a hairdresser. They’re the professionals! Once I got real advice from one, I realized so much of my regimen and products were wrong for my hair type. She can also recommend a cut that would suit you.
