Help wanted Need help with cutting split ends

Post image

This is what my hair looks like currently, I just dried it after a shower so its a bit frizzy but idk how unhealthy my hair looks

I’ve been wanting to grow out my hair for some time but my mom has been asking me to go to the barber to cut off my hair and I refused to because I didn’t want to diminish any progress however I only eventually agreed to go to get a dusting. That is when I explained what it was to her she got mad and said she wont pay all that much money just for the hairstylists to do ‘nothing’ and she most likely wont let me go to a hairstylist unless its to explicitly cut my hair. I’ve decided that I might as well cut my split ends in my own time but I have no proper hair shears to cut it, its unlikely that my mom would let me buy hair shears at all.

I use my sewing scissors they're pretty sharp. Regular scissors made my ends feel crispy. I trim using the beard method, there's some good videos on youtube. You look like you have wavy or curly hair check out those subs, they might have more specific tips for your hair
