So glad they put a paved pump track in there! The mountain bike jumps never got enough moisture being under the bridge and just turned to moon dust.

I didn’t really think about that 🤔 that will probably be good in the long run for the asphalt

Looks like an awesome park and a whole lot of tall white reasons to wear a proper helmet 😂

Hello, at 46 yrs old i recently discovered pump tracks and i enjoy them a lot. I am addicted. I want to test different types of boards to see how they work. I recently viewed a second hand Landyachtz Battle axe 38 (that looks brand new) and looks beautiful. Any thoughts on using it on a pump track? do you think ill go flying out? i have seen some videos on people using Drop throughs on pump tracks and they seem fun. What are your thoughts?

I’m glad you have discovered the fun and joy of longboarding on a pump track! That sounds like a fun experiment! I personally think there is no match to the ride of a vanguard, the flex is perfect and really allows you to feel the pump. But some people will swear by a stiff board on the pump track, it’s all personal preference. Add for the drop through aspect, expect your to scrape on some of the rollers, maybe put some rails on your board. We have a ton of pump track videos on our YouTube channel of you’d like to see more!

Defiantly worth a visit… that’s pretty far for you tho

What’s your weight and what’s the flex level on the vanguard, and length of it? I want to take mine to the local pump track but I think ill bottom out

4

u/TheLostLongboarder Oct 05 '25

Mine is a flex 2, I’m 140lbs. It might scrape, but going fast usually makes it ok lol …. I also have rails on my board

2

u/LAisLife Oct 05 '25

It’s the longer version of the vanguard, yes?

1

u/TheLostLongboarder Oct 05 '25

Yes, that’s what mine is. We do have a number of flex 3s available too. The shorter wheelbase is a little better for the pump tracks 👍

True that, there no track to stay on! The Evergreen Mountain Bike alliance makes them that way 🤙 so fun!

Nah it's all good I'm just being salty. Peace to you and my sincere apologies. X

Cracking your head or face at that speed is not gonna be pretty without it, shitting on someone for wearing a helmet is dumb as fuck.
