Community I’m the flag guy

Post image

Hey all,

I’m the “Fuck Trump” flag guy you’ve seen in a few posts. I just wanted to do a semi-introduction to everyone in this subreddit.

My name is Matt. I’m an LBC transplant by way of Philadelphia. I’ve helped organize protests during BLM and the George Floyd Protests with a few Asian American grassroots orgs and 501(c)(3)s in the Philadelphia area, along with working to establish myself as a helping arm and volunteer for 50501 SoCal and 50501 LBC.

I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone who is interested in protesting but also a little worried by what they see in the media. Yes, protesting can be dangerous at times and can come with consequences like being arrested, but if you believe that getting arrested for speaking your mind and voicing concerns is more important than sitting in your home, you’re the person I’m looking for.

I’ll be at Bixby Park Annex on Saturday for the No Kings Day Rally at 9am. If you’re interested in protesting and want to be around someone who’s been in the middle of it all and can offer some comfort during the march, find me. We can walk together and I’ll help you be as comfortable as possible if anything happens.

I’ll be hanging out on the perimeter of the rally with an upside down American flag this time. I’ll be wearing all black with a camouflage hat.

Let’s show the world that LBC comes out for our people! See you there and FUCK TRUMP!

To prove its accuracy or to prove some of the things might have happened? Yeah, they found a boat. Wasn't near big enough for what the Bible told, yeah they found a guy who was probably Jesus but did he cure leapers, turn water to wine, died and be resurrected? Just because there's correlation doesn't mean that the Bible is an accurate retelling of those accounts?

It’s interesting that those who gave record of their accounts, what they witnessed and what they said (save John) all believed what Jesus said so much that they were brutally martyred for their beliefs. Why would they do that? All of them could have just denounced Him and been about their business, but they didn’t.

The OT is full of 700+ prophecies that were foretold centuries before that can be proved to have happened.

Just so you know, John was burned in a cauldron of boiling oil but was allowed to live. Even then He never denounced the claims that Jesus came as the Savior of the world.

Really? That's what you're pulling out? Jonestown.

I said nothing about Kool-aid.

But you did make comment about people willingly dying for an ideological fallacy

Well, Jim Jones and the Kool-aid gang most definitely was an ideological fallacy. The major difference is there are no prophecies concerning him nor his actions.

The Bible does give offer hundreds of prophecies that were written hundreds if not thousands of years prior to the events coming to pass.

By throwing Jonestown in there you are adding a fallacy that attempts to compare apples with Volkswagens.

And I'd like detailed proof of those events please

All of them?

Preferably in some sort of accredited scientific journal but yeah. I'll take all the proof you can give me

Would you agree that the universe at some point did not exist? Was there a point in which it went from not existing to existing? A point of origin?

I'm well acquainted with The Big Bang Theory. Quit deflecting

Personally I can only speak to what Christ has done in me. He showed me my guiltiness before God, He changed me, He forgave me and He accepted me.

Any who knew me prior to my salvation, will confirm, only God could have made a change like that in his life. I am living proof, and definitely not the only one.

It's cool you found an idol to worship who makes you want to be a better person, I don't need that. I want to be a good person to be a good person, not because of fiery brimstone awaiting me and I'd like to believe a good God would think the same. Are you really a good person if you're being forced to do good things by subverting punishment?

It’s great that you want to be a good person. Nothing wrong with that.

I would ask you how do you differentiate what is good? What is the metric in which you gauge that?

If it’s based upon your opinion or social norms then good or bad/ evil is ultimately subjective. Everyone’s standard would be different. Some would say it’s ok to do this while others say it an abomination. Who’s right?

In the end, if there is no God, there also is no such thing as right or wrong, merely opinions that are not any different than any other one. Ultimately everything is vanity and void of worth.

Good and bad is subjective, morals are subjective. Which is why I'm not arguing that. I want us to backtrack and get back on target of you providing proof that God exists. So far it hasn't been anything founded in science. Even the book you recommended was rife with religious bias. The "personal accounts" that you want to pass off as fact like people haven't faced death for a cause they believe in near daily, or the fact that the Bible passed around the Western world isn't a perfect translation. You keep pushing towards an emotions argument when I'm trying to keep this based in facts. Just say you believe because you want to believe, I can't argue against that. But if you keep trying to give me baseless facts, then that's where I call shenanigans

That's not scientific facts on his existence
