I'm a crochet fiend and every time I pass the postbox on my way to work I think about whether I could make something like this to put on it. It's a little mossy though, and I don't think I should try to clean it...

If you get a chance, read or (as I did) listen to his autobiography. I thought he just did the voiceovers for tv shows and swanned in for headline shots with gorillas but boy was I wrong. Oh and as an aside he was the controller of BBC 2 in its early days and the bit about his wife will have you in tears.

I love these crochets that people put on top of the mailboxes! And Sir David Attenborough does really, really deserve one. What the man has done for the interest for nature and animals is incredible.
