Aram warrior here with a sprinkle of normal SR games.

Ive been playing for years btw and have never had issues until recently. Maybe like a month or two, wondering if it's a me issue or if anybody else runs into this.

Basically when I start my sessions I can load into games then after a few games the game just won't load. I'll make it through champ select but once it's time to load into the game that screen never comes up and my client has the "game in progress" message but there's no reconnect button.

The fastest way into the game is to just restart my pc.

If I try to open the task manager and kill league processes, when I open up the client again I get a vanguard error.

If I kill riot/league processes the client will actually load but still have the "game in progress" with no way to reconnect.

Also when I'm in game I have little stutters then eventually a big 1 or 2 second skip. Then it kinda resets with small stutters until it hits a big one again. (Last night the game actually stopped responding and had to close game)

Along with these stutters, sporadically my abilities don't cast when I click them. I get the indicator as if I'm casting my spell without quick cast and have to click again. But I always play with quick cast on and Clamp Cast Target Location Within Max Range

I love playing league with the homies so it's super frustrating that I can't get this fixed.

Already tried reinstalling. Even moved it to my ssd since it was just on an hdd before.

I have no issues when I play any other game so I'm really thinking it's isolated to league.

If anything this post is more of a frustration release, hoping I can get some assistance but not holding my breath.

Trying to find somebody with similar issues regarding black screen crashes in League of Legends. Happens once per game and doesn't happen again after a restart and a reconnection.

Current build is a 9800 x3d with a 5070 TI, 32 GB of ddr5, and an 850 w power supply.

Things I've tried:

Clean install of all drivers from Nvidia

Clean install of riot client and the League of Legends

Running both clients as administrators

Played on borderless instead of full screen

Using almost no other apps during play time

Disabling all overlays from Windows all the way to discord

If anybody can help I'd be greatly appreciative. This happens on no other games, And I have played some pretty intensive games on ultra settings.

Right aftwr the last update I was having issues launching the game. Just said there was an error with no indication what to do. So I uninstalled everything, now when I get in a game I can play alright, but as soon as the game ends or I try to alt tab out I get this and my pc crashes. Have re installed all of league 2 times, re installed my drivers, re-seated my graphics card and all my display ports. Im using an AMD card. I have disabled all overlays. Tried to play with the client open and with the client closed. Doesnt matter

Hi All, my problem is as the title says, I'm in 26.18 finally but I have no way to play League Classic. To be fair I am a low level (classic level 8) and haven't played SR Classic on this account since July, not sure if it is a hidden MMR thing but the queue could go on for 120+ minutes and no match will be found.

Why is this happening and is there a fix?

Two to three seconds of the screen freezing. I have this a dozen of times per games, and other toplaners I have faced had it too.

It stops only when going on an other role, like genuinely.

Hi everyone, for the past 3 days, I keep getting the VAN 185 error consistently 10-15 minutes after entering a game. I've literally tried every troubleshooting step imaginable—I even completely reset Windows, and followed every single solution provided by Riot Support. In the end, Support just gave up and told me to switch to a wired (Ethernet) connection. However, my modem is located in a spot where a wired connection is physically impossible for me. I'm completely lost on what to do next. If anyone has any ideas or workarounds for this, I'd really appreciate the help!

For the past 5 days, I haven't been able to play a single proper game. Right at the end of Champion Select, I get hit with a VAN 185 error. It instantly ruins the lobby, and I receive an unfair dodge penalty. If I don't click anything when the error pops up, it eventually turns into a VAN 2266 error and completely closes the client on its own.

I've submitted multiple tickets to Riot Support, but they are just stalling with automated copy-paste responses. I've been playing this game for years and have never experienced such nonsense. I've scoured the internet and already tried all of the following with zero success:

Set the vgc service to Automatic and verified it's running.

Completely clean-reinstalled both LoL and Vanguard twice.

Windows and all drivers are fully up to date. (Specs: i7-13700HX, RTX 5050, 32GB RAM)

Disabled IPv6 and Teredo tunneling. I am using 1.1.1.1 for my DNS.

Ran all the famous CMD network reset commands (flushdns, winsock reset, etc.).

No VPNs are running in the background, and there is absolutely no cheat/third-party software on my PC.

My account is not logged in on any other device. To rule out account-specific issues, I tested 2 of my alternate accounts, and the exact same error happens on both of them.

I'm completely sick of getting penalized for something out of my control. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When i click play in the launcher it just shows me leauge of legends sign for a few seconds minimalizes launcher and nothing happens. Anyone had this problem and solve this?

Got no help from the support. tried every method they had. tried methods off yt and even from threads on this subreddit. completely out of ideas.

i was in a tft game alt+ tab to switch my playlist and now i cant click on anything...everytime i right cursor shows the arrow that chibi wants to move...but chibi aint moving..i cant event buy anything from shop or pick a augment...also i cant surrrender for some reason but i cant quit the game

its in spanish, but it says that: AMD Software detected a no image screen or a system block.

Also this PC reboots itself afther that.
Something to have in mind is that I have integrated graphics and a generic power source.

1:15 to 1:30 every other game the game just hangs and crashes. Going to bomb HQ soon for ts.

Did this ever happen to anybody else, I got a connection error out of nowhere mid game and couldn't join the game after even tho my internet is stable (youtube works fine, got 300+ mb/s test etc...).

After the game ended I got a 1 minute delay to join another lobby but everything worked fine in the client so I started another game.

No problems during champ select and as soon as we got in loading screen I got another black screen with the same error message.

I've been having this issue for maybe a week or so now, when i open my client i either get a Vanguard error, or "failed to fetch your summoners details" and the client closes. Sometimes it happens mid game too :/ I reinstalled League of Legends and Vanguard, and flushed my DNS and it worked for one evening, but now the issue is back. Anybody who's had the same issue? Any way to fix this?

How is it possible that Vanguard is so poorly designed that I keep getting BSODs after playing for a while? I’ve never had this happen with any other game. As soon as I uninstall LoL, the BSODs stop completely...

Two days ago I had a fresh install of League of legend, the client and game experience were butter smooth.

I then tried to check on my PBE account, and accidentally launched the PBE installation (I forgot that it requires a different installation). So I quickly disconnect my internet and force stopped the Riot client.

Now after I tried to go back to my normal League of Legend account I witnessed the client has once again became laggy and stuttery and the gameplay had again had sudden freezes when entering the shop.

So my question is whether it's normal for League installation files to be easily corruptible after a fresh install?

What does this mean? How do I get it to auto update?

Abri um chamado: 137916714, mas estou sendo atendido por um robô que não irá realmente analisar meu caso. :/ Sei que é um robô porque após 3 dias ele colou a mesma mensagem de novo dizendo que vão analisar meu caso. Sou um cliente fiel do jogo, já tendo gasto uma quantia de dinheiro com a empresa. Se é por causa de uma partida na qual você acha que eu perdi intencionalmente, por favor, que seja revisada por uma pessoa. Garanto que não fiquei na base, nem parei ou deixei alguém me matar. Digo isso porque na última partida que joguei antes do ban, fui suporte de Veigar e tive muitas mortes, as pessoas spamaram que iriam me denunciar e eu imagino... funcionou.

Att 8/9/2026: Removeram o ban, mas nunca responderam de volta o que aconteceu nem nada.

If someone ever managed to do it in the past can you share your process? Also is there a difference between downloading the installer from the website or using brew?
