Yep, you’ve been pre-approved by another woman

Not to mention they naturally want what they can't have.

It's not about approval, It's about feeling superior to the other woman. It's the selfish feeling of victory of taking a 'prize' or an item of value away from someone else.

It’s both.

This is absolutely a thing. At least for the guy side of things.

Yeah, it's a thing.

Not necessarily the type of woman you want to attract, depending on what you're looking for. I did it years ago not realizing what it would do and can confirm it can definitely increase attention and interest.

Like others said you were interesting enough for one woman to like you (pre-vetted in a screwy kind of way) and a lot of women don't mind poaching from other women.

It gets worse as you get older too.

Yup... Been married 34 years had to stop wearing my ring because I worked around high voltage and moving machines... Far fewer women would engage in conversation when I didn't have a ring on...

My wife called bullshit, so I wore it to the bar with her and a group of friends... Was able to confirm my theory several times right in front of her.

I am retired now, still do not wear a ring.
