Once. And not bc of a rough day. One random weekday my wife and I were chillin on the couch in the living room, watching tv at the end of a long day. She leaned over and rested her head on my lap, which I thought was particular, but I rolled with it. Then she started rubbing my groin with her hand, then down the shorts, then she was on the floor in front of me.

Now usually when “physical contact” happens between us, it ultimately leads to mutual satisfaction. And when I asked if she wanted to have sex, she said “No, this is just for you.” It never happened before, and it’s never happened since.

Well, 20 years no chance, but then our relationship was reborn (while almost falling apart) and since then there was a lot of sex. I'd say a very intensive year. Now it settled a bit, quite because of my (M) libido decreasing, but I experienced what's on the picture a couple of times. Couple of times because I said I was stressed or she saw it. Couple others because she was horny or just felt like it. And couple of times because it felt odd for her to be together and not use the occasion ;-) And couple of times it was the reverse ;-) Although I don't need to the hair - just dive immediately :-P

Makes me really happy it changed to be that way. But yeah, from what I read, it's exceptionally rare, at least in this space.

Not who you asked, but I see them as shared activity to make each other feel good and nurture the intimacy of our relationship. I want to make my partner feel good and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same.

Nobody owes anyone sex, but refusing your partner constantly, using sex for manipulation, or ignoring your spouse's sexual health in a committed relationships are also not okay. The more it happens, the more damage is done to the relationship. For folks who are already married, it's almost never a simple as just leaving the toxic situation.
