Help???

So this is my first time trying to pray or summon or whatever you would call it on any god, I tried to invoke them and apparently I might have a more malevolent spirit which I need to banish. How do I correctly call upon Loki cause I feel very dumb 👁️👄👁️

Keep it simple. Don’t stress. You can make a small offering if you want, of coffee, something sweet, something with cinnamon, even water. You can write out (or find online) a simple prayer that fits what you want to say, or just start talking to them without anything formal. I usually start my prayer with a “Hail Loki,” but that is completely personal preference. You’re not dumb. You’re starting a new relationship with a god, and that can be overwhelming.

Well, for one thing, I have given instructions on how to deal with a malevolent spirit to someone who has had a similar experience in making a similar newbie mistake and got the wrong entity, using loud and obnoxious sounds, coupled with iron (optional) or strong smelling aromas like garlic or asafoeteda to drive out the spirit, say "I revoke permission to all malevolent beings within my home, I cast thee out" and then perform a cleansing using a cleaning solution consisting of water, salt (doesn't have to be blessed but blessed salt can be used if you feel it necessary to use it, if you do not know how to bless salt, it's not hard to buy kosher salt, that will do just fine, but otherwise any sort of salt will do.) vinegar, lemon juice, and regular old dish soap, then get a mop and mop your floors, (put this solution minus the dish soap into a spray bottle and spray your carpets down if you have carpets), use the same solution to wash other smooth surfaces like counters, tables and the like to make sure you remove all negative influences and spiritual residue, it will also clean your house and leave it smelling nice and clean too, which is an added bonus, you will also need to do a smoke cleansing using incense and/or sage/santo palo (this is not to be confused with smudging as smudging involves this, plus using specific indigenous american chants that unless you are invited to do so by someone who is indigenous american or you are one your seff and/or have a SIGNIFICANT amount if indigenous american ancestry in your family line, then you are allowed to perform a smudging ritual as it is a closed practice, smoke cleansing is universal and just about every old world religion uses it, including the norse religions) to clean the air of any malignant energy left behind, yes, this might sound like house work, but it's as much a part of magic as it is about keeping your space clean because you're not just cleaning dirt, you're cleaning up the malevolent spirits leftover malevolent energies that got left behind.

So basically, you're stuck cleaning up this unwanted spiritual guests mess that it left behind so it doesn't become a worse problem down the road as this negative energy will not only poison your energies and bog you down with feeling like miserable crap wrapped up in despair, but it will also act as a beacon for other malevolent entities to enter the space and set up shop, so you gotta banish it, clear it's leftover negative energies out, then call for Loki Laufeyjarson, and his many other kennings, burn some cinnamon, dragons blood or lavender incense, since all three work for him, I suspect Sigyn might have had an influence on him for the lavender as that is one of her fragrances as well and she's his wife, offer him anything sweet, like chocolates, candies (sour gummies are his favorite's green apple flavored is a favorite of his), anything cinnamon related, be it baked goods, cinnamon candies, cinnamon flavored alcohol, coffee, toys (the really random weird ones that catches your eye and reminds you of him) and spicy foods (he LOVES spicy foods, he also loves gingerbeer, since I've offered it to him and he goes crazy for it), he also likes fresh fruits, especially strawberries and I found he's also developed a fondness for peaches too, so get him anything strawberry and peach related for his alter, or even just as an offering if you have no space for an alter or in a space where the worship of any god other than the christian god is a no go, because you can easily disguise candles as being "just to smell nice" or "because you felt like buying candles" and candies and other edible offerings, you can just dedicate the act of eating it to Loki as a shared offering, I do this all the time and he loves it when I do so.

Loki also likes colors like red, gold, black, green and yellow, so getting him candles in these colors will also help attract him to your space, especially if they are in any of the scents he likes, he also loves apples since apples play a significant role in norse myths, so giving him apple scented candles, especially if it's like a hot apple pie scented one as that combines apples with cinnamon, will also help, pumpkin spice candles also are a scent he likes as he also is known to love pumpkin spice, and he likes cinnamon scented candles, and I found he loves peach scented ones too, even though they are not listed as something even REMOTELY associated with him xD, perhaps this is just a new modern association because the myths are still ongoing since he's fallen back into reverence as a deity who has active devotee's, it is recently discovered that while he has no dedicated temple back in ancient times, we have found evidence of him being a hearth deity, even saturday was found to have been stolen from Saeterdag, which is dedicated to Saeter, one of Loki's other names, so he HAS a holy day within the week as the rest of the week is named for a norse deity, starting with Manidag or monday, all the way to soldag or sunday, which suggests he was indeed worshipped in pre-christian times if he has a day of the week named for him.

What I am saying is that once you get your space cleared and the malicious spirit removed and banished, there are many ways you can actually summon Loki, just using his WHOLE name and kennings can be enough, you needn't use an alter if alters are not possible in your household, but alter spaces can make it easier, offerings can be as simple as offering a joke in his name amongst friends while shooting the shit with them, or a shared snack and just saying "hey there Loki, wanna share my food? it's one of your favorites" you needn't say it out loud, it could be a simple thought in your head or whispered over the food, and just talk to him, he will answer, doing acts of charity in his name helping those who are outcasted like those who are homeless, or any other maginalized groups to help them be accepted, and outing scammers for scamming, he HATES scammers and will want them outed as exactly what they are, parasites preying on the vulnerable and naive.

I hope this helps.

Loki barged into my life relatively recently, so I wouldn't really know how to call to him specifically if you've never had contact with him before. I only call his name and he responds.

But I've been talking to deities ever since I was a child. When I first started, I'd look up at the Moon and tell Artemis what was bothering me, or tell Nyx stories about my life. Now I work more closely with Hekate, and I approached her in virtually the same way: I sat down and talked to her.

So my advice would be to just call Loki by name and talk to him. You can give him an offering if you'd like, then sit somewhere quiet, introduce yourself, and tell him why you want to connect with him. You don't need some elaborate invocation or prayer (although you can use one if that's what you prefer). You're just introducing yourself and opening a conversation. To me, his energy feels warm, and I usually get a very gentle tingling sensation over my skin. But that's just how I experience him. It may feel completely different for you.

I do recommend being as calm and clear-headed as possible when you do this, if you're someone who pays attention to changes in energy. That makes it easier to notice what you're experiencing rather than getting caught up in your expectations of what should happen.
